Pak Suzuki may roll back its expansion plan

wesey uski worth to itni hi hy
totally agree..agr ab yeh baat in Suzuki execs ko samaj ajaye tou kya baat hai. These idiots can make 5 varieties of the car and sell them with perhaps Rs. 100,000 difference.
Any idea when Celerio is being launched?

The problem with Pakistan is , pakistani Gov is making a big show on media that they want other auto car companies to invest problem is
If they dont change there laws first you have to pay really big custome tax and car must be 5 years which makes it more expansive so middle class dont even think buying these cars because maintenance alone is nightmare
Simple solution is
1 change time frame make it atleast 10 year instead of 5 , which will bring the cost down
2 keep custome low
People will be bring 2nd hand cars
That will increase need of spares and you will have make mechanics who will be able to work on western or modern cars
Now that way it will create a eco system which will give confidence to other companies to invest in
Because now one likes to throw there money
As in past few companies have tried but lost because of the corruption

chinese cars are no worse then the indian cars

also the chinese heavy duty turks and buses are used all over pakistan without any significant issues.

1. Chinese cars are actually worse than Indian cars, whether they're completely Indian or made completely/exclusively in India by foreign brands.

2. The above point (And thus your point) is irrelevant because we are discussing the market. If Pakistan market is to modernise, bringing Chinese cars is not an option. They don't have enough quality to revolutionise the market (whether better/worse than India).
Japan has great cars, but what did Suzuki give you! China don't even have such cars.
It's all about profit.
Like I said, Chinese cars will simply keep the market at bronze age and crowd it with cheap Chinese and Japanese cars, causing extreme pollution and waste, only "advantage" being cheaper Mehrans.
What you need is Kia maybe.
(I'd suggest Mahindra, but don't want an argument.)
And of course a JV like I already said.
