If the US were really in a position to intervene, then no matter what side approached that country, it would end up helping the Indian side, and may turn the LoC into an internationally recognized international border.

I wonder what the US policy makers would think they would gain by siding with Pakistan (the nation almost termed an enemy by Americans) against India (a nation the US lawmakers desperately want as its ally).

It's a terrible step by Nawaz to approach the US to make a stand against India, at this time in this era.

If you start Jihad-e-Kashmir 2.0, why do you think India would not start Jihad-e-Pakistan 2.0 to separate the energy rich Baluchistan from Pakistan, just as India did for east Pakistan in Jihad-e-Pakistan 1.0 in 1971.

For every action there would be equal and opposite reaction.

Jihad-e-Kashmir 1.0 has been going on since 1989 (24 years and counting). Thousands of Indian soldiers have been killed in the Muslim Kashmir in the process.

It's about time India puts its Cold Start to test. What are you waiting for?
