Pak’s two-faced Syria policy will boomerang

The article was so pointless that it messed up OP's name to &%)@$)(!#..

At topic, Pakistan already had enough of it, we should learn to stay neutral in matters that don't effect us.

. .
I see some members here saying that Pakistan should stay neutral, nothing wrong with that.. however Pakistan suffered a lot from terrorism and terrorists and even from US attacks on civilians, therefore at least Pakistan should condemn terrorism and support the Syrian people fight against Alqaeda and F$A terrorists...

You mean support Hizbullah instead of Alqaeda? I think Pakistan is doing the best by staying neutral. There are no winners here, only losers. I just wish my government had the same foresight as Pakistan's and left arab metters to arab states and stay the hell away from it (in both egypt and syria)

who said anything about Hezbollah ? and what is wrong if Pakistan stood with Hezbollah against Israel? isn't Pakistan and Israel enemies? Pakistan helped the Arab world against Israel many times... but what about now?

when it comes to terrorism, Pakistan and Syria have common enemy, thus nations should work together...

No need get focked up in your head why don't you go and check it out who actually wrote this coloum ??

You seemed to be obsessed with Pakistan's position on Syria. Can you please enlighten us all with India's position on Syria?

Go and open different thread for that .

On your first point, I brought up Hizbullah. There are two sides fighting here, Assad forces vs FSA. You mention FSA using al qaeda but failed to "remember" hizbullah's association with Assad. Seems dishonest to me. The point I am trying to make is both sides are infiltrated by terrorist elements and no matter who wins, it will be either hizbullah or al qaeda which will come out stronger. Both same sh.t different smell if you ask me. So none of them is worthy of any support.

On your second point, I am no expert on Pakistan's foreign policies but AFAIK there is a great deal of normalization between pakistan and israel. Both have much to lose by offending each other even further. I am saying IMHO it is in pakistan's best interest to remain completely neutral and I apploud them for their correct strategic thinking. If you think Pakistan would support Assad just to get on Israel's nerve without any strategic gain for itself is childish.

again when did I say Pakistan should support Alasad? I said Pakistan should stand with the Syrian people and support their fight against Alqaeda F$A terrorists...

in addition Hezbollah have not play a major role in Syria, except for one battle, Qusayar battle, they had to eliminate terrorists from there, to end all the mortar shells that falls on their villages...

. .
"Pakistan should stand with the Syrian people and support their fight against Alqaeda F$A terrorists"

is exactly the same as "Pakistan should support dictator Assad and hizbullah terrorists". I really don't see how you can diffrentiate the two.

Also al qaeda == hizbullah in my eyes. Both are backward cowards who try to impose political agendas by killing civilians no matter what religion the victims are. As I said, same sh.t different smell. You are welcome to disagree.

How about Pakistan stays neutral and allows the Arabs and Persians to sort it out?

. .
Just like you sent your Army regulars in KARGIL WAR 1999 And claimed they were non-state actors and did not even take their bodies back for a proper burial, later your EX-PRESIDENT/Ex-General writes a book how they sent pakistani army masquerading as jihadis.

That kind of two faced we are talking about,Say hi friend in front and stab in the back That is two faced in simple terms.

Now what on earth has Syria got to do with kargil? Come to the point already.

.
A neutral Pakistan on Syrian issue will do wonder to its foreign policy and international relations

.
You can't expect to be a significant player in the world by staying neutral. If Pakistan wants influence like Saudi Arabia and Iran it needs to take a more aggressive stance.
