They are nothing but just war of words. Because just few days ago Obama approved another $1 billion as aid to Pakistan.

It's not really aid but money reimbursed to Pakistan for its expenses which is $100 million below Obama's request.

Just like the superior US army is bogged down by the AK-47/RPG-7 yielding Talibans and we know the story of Iraq as well. How the same AK47/RPG-7 yielding Vietnamese made US suffer 60K+ dead and thousands more injured and the billions in cost.


Being superior in weapons and equipment doesn't means you are gonna win each and every time.


Any kind of wrong move will help the militants, as their ranks will swell and they will get more money and weapons, and the fight will go on.

War is not always the only solution of an issue.


Since the US WOT started, more countries have become unstable and militancy has grown many folds rather then being reduced.

You need to tackle the grass root level problem which is causing the militancy, fighting militancy will not solve anything, till the real issue is handled.

Unlike Afghanistan which does not have a standing army and the fight is between a guerilla terrorist force and a conventional army , in Pakistan, god forbid if it happens, the fight will be between two standing armies and the US will just blitz anything in its way in a conventional war.

Unlike Afghanistan which has no specific targets to bomb Pakistan has plenty of "strategic" targets to employ the B-2 pilots for quite some time.

The US is not wining in Afg not because they cant but because they chose not to go that way.If they had gone the USSR way shooting everything on their way they would have won the war in 3 years.

And you think after the US blitz, Pakistanis will shut up and no one will go inside Afghanistan and attack the US targets which are in the shape of precious US personnel ??? US blitz took out Iraqi army, but then again US lost 4000+ troops in Iraq.

And did USSR win after going the way you just mentioned ?? If they didn't, how could the US had won or would win ?? Why didn't US win in Vietnam when they used the same tactics as USSR did to a certain extend.

There is no way, any army can win a war of occupation in these times. Punitive expeditions is a different story altogether.. And the same is visible in the excessively low NATO casualties in last 10 years of Afghanistan war..

If (a very big IF) US decides to pursue a hard option in Pakistan, it will imo limited to surgical strikes on HVT (like drones) and taking out of key Pakistani C&C infrastructure using stand off weapons.. Pakistan probably wont even see a US military personnel in clear sights..
