Pak province to construct cremation ground for Hindu community

The chief minister of Pakistan's North West Province has assured the minority Hindu community that he will construct a 'shamshan ghat' (cremation ground) in Mardan district from his personal funds.

Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti made the assurance to a delegation of the Hindu Balmik Community during a recent meeting at his office in Peshawar. The shamshan ghat will be constructed at Canal Road in Mardan.

"Our government believes in provision of equal rights to minorities. They have full freedom in observing worship in the province," Hoti said.

Following a demand from the delegation, Hoti directed authorities to make an estimate of the cost for constructing the shamshan ghat and said the expenditure would be borne from his personal fund.

The CM directed the commissioner of Mardan to submit a comprehensive report to him regarding the construction of residential quarters for the Hindu Balmik Community.

He also directed all departments to ensure the implementation of quotas reserved for minorities in government jobs.

The delegation apprised Hoti about other problems being faced by the community. It also assured full support to the provincial government on behalf of the Hindu community.

Your own countryman is finding it worth sharing. May be it is important with his perspective somehow.

But whatever acting it is, minorities need extra care because no matter which part of the world they reside, they always feel less secure then the majority of the country. I welcome every move taken to make Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and other religious minorities more comfortable.

Hope same statement is applicable to your religion and same can be sold to your country.
Actually its not... Theres a lot of this n that about what all happens to you inside the grave. But I'm not an expert, may be it can be done and even for Hindus, I was thinking the super chilling would probably require more power and that would burn more fuel leaving a worse carbon footprint than the burning.

But I believe in Hinduism the main idea is to powderize the body and then pour the remains in running water?

The filtering of cremation smoke can be applied and the tradition of cremation can go on without one impacting the other. Crematoriums are thats why necessary to replace Cremation grounds.

It should not matter to the body as it is of no value once the soul departs but it then depends on religious practices.

I just wanted to see your reaction on the statement you made.

Seems like in due course the Muslim population will take over India in numbers and the Hindu population will take over Pakistan in numbers. That will be really funny if it happens :D
