Pak paying heavily for its mistakes in the 1970s: Tony Blair

Sir, you have not provided any proof of our involvement in Baluchistan to the international community. As for Kashmir, your army infiltrated in Kargil, the whole world knows that. In fact, you denied any Pakistani involvement initially and after 10 years you declare awards to your army men for the same war?

if 10 million Kashmiris are going to Pakistan's refugee camp like Bangladeshis did in '71, then you go ahead and train them to fight against India. But we both know that it is not the case. So your comparison with Kashmiri militants with Bangladeshis is childish.

All the best.
you have no proofs against Pakistan ........ you blame Pakistan for everything what about you RAW involvement in train incident in which your Colonel was involved whole worlds knows this ...... your trained terrorist in 71 your own Govt accepts this ...
for your information kashmiris are fighting in kashmir not Pakistanis and thousands of kashmiris migrated to pakistan and AJK because of Indian atrocities........ thousands of women get raped in Kashmir by your army and what about mass graves discovered ? kashmiris have a right to get freedom from India
if you think 71 is justified then freedome movement is also justified ...... im fed up of your double standards you think different for yourself and think different for others

well in order to gain all this why not india take the first step and leave kashmir, why india wants Pakistan to take LOC as internation border? just leave the occupied land....

Because before Independence Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India. And at the time of independence it was no were said or asked by Pakistan to give her Kashmir. Kashmir issue whole came when Pakistan tried to annex it through force. Even Pakistan knows it. You might be knowing that India army never entered kashmir before it acceded to join Indian territory. It was pakistan who sent its troops and some tribals to the region. But the biggest mistake they did was they started looting people. And due to which even the locals never sided with this new outsiders. Otherwise Pakistan could have got the entire Kashmir that day only. And later on hope you know the story. J&K chose to join India and India sent it troops to the region and chased out the aggressors. But in this all India too committed some grave mistakes. In spite of being at an advantageous position India gone to UN hopping to create an image of being a Morally great nation by leaving some part of Kashmir to Pakistan and also to Pacify Pakistan for not to look like a looser completely. But that mistake cost it severely till today.

If we go by your logic that if some people ask for freedom from the main land cause they speak or practice or follow certain religion, language, custom etc etc. then Baluchis or Sindis or Afghanis or Punjabis demand could be justified that they want a separate country. Even there could be a separate country for those tribals fighting with your regular army in your own territory.

But brother its better to forget about Indian occupied Kashmir. Cause India already have invested a lot on its development, deployed a no of troops and bases, lost a no of its personals, fought a no of wars for it, and many more. Do you think it will allow it to go so easily. And second if India gives kashmir then its has to listen to all other piddly fart demands from various anti national elements. And no country can run on such policies.

I think Pakistan has made mistakes in the past and coming from anyone else i would accept it. The irony is that a moronic moron like Blair makes this statement?
Entering Iraq on the evidence doctored by Blairs government (The Kelly enquiry ) is one of his biggest crimes that the whole world suffered. Thousands of innocent people died because of his lies.
Its an alarming thought that this guy is walking around the middle east blessing them with his lack of honesty. I find it distasteful ironic that he wants to now comment on others mistakes

China is very aggressive with Pakistan originated terror. However, the Uighur issue is not such an attractive brochure for potential militants as is Kashmir and the prospect of "fighting with Hindu's".
India must take caution, and while a solution to Kashmir should be sought ASAP..
Normalcy in tourism and transit must be weighed against how much Pakistani society has moved to control the extremism(and not normal religious practice) within its midst.

i think Pakistan need a good PR drive to inform its people, what is good for them in the long term. Who is the real enemy..

U know what people like U prove the false propaganda about Pakistani people. And guess what the West is the biggest gainer.

A PR drive doesnt work well when religion for Pakistani's is the topic.
They shut their minds out to anything else except "Jihad, Murder, Honor, Ummah" and etc.
Instead of trying to research these things and make a common policy, its either liberal facist or Arbi pig.
No middle ground... and ZERO tolerance.
So when Pakistani Muslims cannot tolerate each other or rather any other Pakistani..
what is to be expected of them to tolerate the rest of the world?

Anyway.. this is off-topic and will derail the thread.

why hasent anyone complained that a person having million $ mansion is missing or dead,a person having million $ must have some relatives, connections with outside world someone must be missing him

Pak paying heavily for its mistakes in the 1970s: Tony Blair

NEW DELHI: Pakistan is "paying heavily" for its mistakes in the 1970s when it started mixing religion with politics and promoted extremism, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has said.
"I think Pakistan is paying a heavy price for the mistakes of 1970s by linking religion with politics and developing religious schools which are, in some cases, dangerous sources of extremism," Blair told Karan Thapar in an interview to a news channel.
The former British prime minister was responding to queries relating to the role of ISI in spreading terrorism and its links with the Haqqani group in Afghanistan.
When asked if the US, after eliminating Osama bin laden, should also go after the Haqqani faction, Blair said it was something which the Americans have to decide.
"The trouble with these groups is that there is no way to use them wisely. On these issues like Pakistan might have to say about its influence in Afghanistan vis-a-vis India's influence there, there will be nothing good out of supporting these groups," he said.
"If ISI is engaged in such activities, in the end it will not merely affect US, UK, Afghanistan or India, it poisons the atmosphere in Pakistan also," Blair said.
The former British Prime Minister said that if there was any linkage between the ISI and terror groups such as the Haqqani group and the Lashkar-e-Toiba, "it is a mistake."
Blair said there was a need to engage "modern and open-minded" Pakistanis who are involved in a struggle against the extremists.
"We have to see how we can engage elements in Pakistan who believe that this was a mistake. The best way is to allow Pakistan to change and evolve and there are a lot of decent people in Pakistan," he said.

is that all true? Pakistan supported the anti soviet resistance in the 80s and part of the deal was the saudis would fund religious indoctrination schools, the americans would supply weapons and funds, and pakistan would be used as strategic depth for the resistance.

what happened in the 70s? the soviets had not invaded.
