Pak Navy, Air Force involved in Bangladesh relief efforts

The Indian's should give a Flight Path to overfly into Bangladesh. With heavy payload and head winds, though equiped with EFT the C-130 might have to land at Kolkata for refueling.

1. helping a muslim nation in need is indeed great.
2. C-130s can re-fuel in sri lanka and reach dhaka with EFT.

India wouldn't mind allowing allowing PAF to refuel for a relief effort.

true, hope so.Indians have joined the effort too I think,so there shouldn't be a problem.Kudos to the Pakistanis even after all the trouble they are going through they are helping us.and yes to the Indians and all others(EU,US,UK they have been from the start).

HK, the international community always comes together in times of natural disaster, since that is the only time they can keep aside politics and work for the betterment of everbody.

Now, on a more ominous note, I would like to draw your attention to this thread:

Pakistan send relief goods to Bangladesh

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government under the direction of President General Pervez Musharraf is immediately sending relief goods, including medicines, blankets and food items for the affectees of cyclone in Bangladesh leaving millions homeless and thousands dead.
A foreign Office statement issued here on Tuesday said that the people and the Government of Pakistan are deeply grieved over the devastation caused by the recent cyclone in Bangladesh

It said that two C-130s carrying relief items are being dispatched immediately while a ship carrying relief items will sail shortly for Chitagong and on 23 November two more C-130s will leave for Dhaka carrying a 30 bed Field Hospital.

The people and the Government of Pakistan share the grief of our Bangladeshi brethren caused by the cyclone and stand ready to extend all possible help and assistance.

i think that only 2 c-130 are not enough i think that we should send more to help out the people Bangladesh putting our history aside

We are doing what we can. Besides a ship and two more C-130s will be dispached shortly.
PAF i think would prefer to use the srilankan airstrip rather landing in kolkata air base for refueling.

A field Hospital was sent to BD last night.

We are with Bangladeshi brethern
