PESHAWAR:
A Pakistani military drone successfully hit its targets during last week’s strikes — the first of its kind outside Pakistan.
The military drones targeted Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) hideouts in Khost and Kunar provinces of Afghanistan. The strikes, according to senior officials, were carried out following intelligence reports that TTP affiliates were present in the area.
Senior security officials refuted the claims that the strike was carried out by the Pakistan Air Forces (PAF) jets or claims that Pakistan violated the Afghan airspace. They said that TTP bases near the Afghan border were targeted, where Pakistani security forces had planned attacks last month.
According to the officials, the targeted areas were occupied by the TTP, which were no-go areas for the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan (IEA) itself, adding that the drone successfully hit targets and the TTP suffered heavy losses.

“The area was cordoned off by the TTP in order to hide the killings of its commanders — even members of the IEA were not allowed,” an official said on the condition of anonymity. He, however, expressed the hope that more details would be shared in the next few days.
Security experts said that other countries’ concerns had been addressed by assuring them that the Afghan soil would never be used against any other country — Central Asian and specifically Russia.
“There were serious casualties last week and this is what was taken up with the IEA but they want us to engage with the TTP,” Brigadier (retd) Mehmood Shah said. However, he asked: “I seriously don’t know why would the IEA tell us to talk to the TTP. Who are they [TTP], we will talk to IEA, and not the TTP.”
The recent strikes, Shah believed, were in retaliation to a surge in terror attacks inside Pakistan. “Strikes are always prominent and I would suggest that others means [for the targets] should be used. The IEA should not be trusted anymore,” Shah told The Express Tribune.
Another senior official stated that the attacks against the Pakistan Army started when the TTP launched the Al-Badr offensive with the beginning of Ramazan—in Bajaur and North Waziristan.
“A military camp was attacked in Tank and an attempt was made to create a hostage situation,” the official said, adding: “Just yesterday, seven Pakistani soldiers were martyred in North Waziristan.”

A day earlier, the official continued, a major and a soldier of the army were martyred and a missile was fired at a police mobile in Dera Ismail Khan. “In this situation, the Pakistani government decided to take action on the Afghan border and targeted the locations where key TTP commanders were present.”
The official also stated that the TTP settled its bases near the Afghan border, where even the Afghan authorities were unable to go. Therefore, he added, the Afghan government had repeatedly been urged to bring the TTP to the negotiating table or take action against them.
“We were compelled to take this step in self-defense,” the official said, reiterating that the drone strike was carried out from inside the Pakistani territory and that there was no violation of the Afghan airspace.

There is already a thread on this.

Welldone! What good are our jets, drones and plenty of other assests. Good we are finally using them instead as a showpiece in parades.
Now many people would object as this would anger IEA but where was IEA "anger" when TTP was killing our soldiers and civillians in waziristan and balochistan.
Civil Govt must ensure economic development in Pakistan region of Pak-Afghan border. Security must be ensured by our LEAs. These two things go hand in hand for a thriving society. Afghans should focus on themselves and let us secure border with strict measures.
KPK HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH DUE TO CAVEMEN IN AFGHANISTAN!

Seen this video before, Terrorist claiming they targeted PA post. If this was FC or PA sleeping together in open as a big pile of target, than force really lacks some basic training on cover and concealment concepts.
I don't know if it was FC/PA😞 or ANA on the receiving end as claimed by members here. But I can have the idea why did they commit that mistake. It might be due to human needs, like harsh hot weather where you can't sleep under concealment or cover. Any amounts of training can't eliminate basic human needs of better heat ventilation. They seem to be doing guard duties on a post for extended periods of times. Unfortunately basic human need and instinct got them killed

Just to give you an idea. In Afghanistan US marine we’re standing 8 to 12 hrs on post whereas ANA were doing 3 hours shift on the same post, in which most of the time they were either sitting or laying down.

It all comes down to training and discipline.

That's the difference between the professional military and drug lord's private militia aka ANA. They were all drug addict criminal junkies only motivated to take back home thousands of $$$ salary paid from the US coffers

That's great news to put our drones to good use. But 1 question. Did military got clearance of this attack from the current Shahbaz Govt? I don't think so they would have allowed it. And they would be the ones maligning our forces the most on national TV all day long if even a single civilian casualty claimed by the Afghan Govt. Then they would send their trusted Hamid Mir to Afghanistan to mourn the deaths of each TTP/BLA member there as an "innocent hardworking person" there living through his life "peacefully".

We all know very well this whole PDM mixture Govt is well trained and experienced to carry out this kind of Anti-Pakistan propaganda. And there is no PM IK in power now to take the responsibilities of all military actions, as he did against the Indians misadventure or the US trying their arm twisting moves on Pakistan during their withdrawal from the Afghanistan.

The impact and prestige of the strong unified statements coming out of the senior most Govt offices like the PM, Federal Cabinet/Ministers, NSA can't be substituted with even dozens of ISPR or Foreign office press conferences. That's why before IK Govt, our people were hopeless and our voice wasn't heard anywhere seriously despite having much more Charismatic DG ISPRs and much powerful and admired Army Chief like Raheel Sharif.

We could so easily have outsourced the activity to the Americans whereby keeping them happy and satisfied and ourselves safe by aligning with the Americans 100% against the menace of terrorism from Afghanistan. How we missed the opportunity with the BS drama "absolutely not"!!

Lol. TTP and BLA thrived in Afghanistan under US controlled Afghanistan. Yes they might have attacked one of Pakistan's target after thousands of requests but would have caused much more mess for us by then through their ugly CIA's destabilization Ops. Better use your own drones to defend yourself. We already have outsourced our Govt to the US. If you wanna outsource your defense too then plz ho ahead and kindly dismantle the whole military which we even can't use to defend ourselves from ragtag militias

Soon USAF would have enough surplus retired F-16s to defend our airspace. Just hand them over your bases.
