KARACHI: Pakistan Army rescued several Hindu pilgrims from flooded water through helicopters on Sunday and shifted them to safe places who were trapped in flood water at Shuran near Gandawa area of Balochistan.

The rescue operation was conducted as Balochistan Chief Minister directed the local administration and security forces to take measures for ensuring the protection of the flood victims.

The personnel of Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), Levies Force and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) took part in the operation under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi Muhammad Ramzan Palal, Kachhi Deputy Commissioner Sultan Ahmed and FC colonel.

The rescue teams rescued several Hindu Yatries from flood water through three helicopters of Pak Army.

A shallow westerly wave is presently affecting upper and central parts of the country as this weather system is likely to intensify today and grip most parts of the country on Monday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the new weather system will bring more rain to Makran and Kalat divisions and scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, D.G Khan, D.I Khan divisions in Balochistan.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu, Malakand, and Kohat districts will also experience rainfall.

Few moderate to isolated heavy showers are expected in Makran, Zhob and Quetta divisions while hailstorm at a few places during the period. The weather department said hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

In the past 24 hours, rain with thunderstorm and gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Quetta, Kalat, Sibbi and Zhob divisions. The weather remained hot and dry elsewhere in the country.

Over 20 people died in flash floods caused by heavy downpour in South Waziristan and Balochistan on Saturday.

Fourteen people, eight children among them, were killed when a passenger bus was swept away by strong currents near the Toi Khullah area of South Waziristan. The passengers were on their way from Wana to Zarmilan to attend a wedding when they met the accident.

Separately, a child died when a makeshift house was swept away by flash floods near Wana.

In Balochistan, four members of a family were killed in a flash flood in the Khanozai area of Balochistan’s Pishin district. Another man was killed in a flash flood in the Pir Ghaib area of Balochistan’s Bolan district.

Separately, nine picnickers were swept away by strong currents. One of them drowned while the rest were rescued. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Naeem.

. . . .
Exactly i was about to say that, if they are Pakistani call them Pakistani and not Christian, hindu, sikh etc
Any local minority is as much Pakistani as we muslims are.
:pakistan:
Correction: Pak Armed Forces rescue Pakistanis who just happened to be hindus.

If we don’t start calling Pakistani a Pakistani then I have fears that Pakistan won’t exist anymore in future.

But I don’t know if those pilgrims were Indians or Pakistanis.

Wish I could give you a positive rating.
After reading the title, I thought, PA saved indian hindus. But, PA saved our own people. So, can you add 'Pakistani Hindus' in the title....? @Dubious @AgNoStiC MuSliM

.
I expect Pakistan hindu council to come forward on this occasion as well, and make some thanking statement to Pak army.
Otherwise i have not seen any thing from them besides accusations of forced conversion.

The title says 'Hindu pilgrim' because they were on pilgrimage at the time of being rescued.

When PA saves Muslim Pakistanis, do they also come and say 'Special Thanks' to PA? No, they don't. They are already a minority, don't make them feel like that.
As for your forced conversion 'accusation', FYI, that issue is real.

QUETTA : Over 150 Hindu pilgrims stranded in flash floods in Kachhi district of Balochistan since Saturday morning have been rescued.

The Balochistan government, Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps jointly conducted the successful overnight rescue operation and escorted the pilgrims to Gandawa for the Annual Baisakhi Festival.

Talking to the media, Kachhi Deputy Commissioner Mir Sultan Bugti said, “District administration officers, FC, Pak Army and Levies personnel participated in the rescue operation and saved 150 Hindu pilgrims stranded in flash floods caused by torrential rains.

“The rescued pilgrims spent some time at their Gurdwara in Gandawa and were later transported to Shoran [an area of the Kachhi district] by passenger coaches.”

Bugti said three helicopters of the Pak Army participated in the rescue operation.

At least 150 pilgrims from Sindh and Balochistan provinces came to attend the Annual Baisakhi Festival, but got stranded in flash floods in Kachhi.

They were stuck in the mountainous areas of Kachhi and could not reach out for help due to lack of mobile signals.

Sources said timely action by the government saved the lives of the Hindu pilgrims.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan had directed authorities to rescue the pilgrims by utilising all available resources.

Member of provincial assembly Dinesh Kumar said, “Fortunately, all Hindu pilgrims have been rescued safely and shifted to safe places. Condition of them all is stable. Most have reached home while some are on their way.”

Forced conversion also happens in Gilgit too. Chief Justice took notice in past but still Tableeghi jamaatis are active there.

Do we have Muslim council who keep shaking PM house?
If Hindu council can complain to Sushma Suraj with complaints of forced conversion, than they must say thanks to army as well, when they are saved ignoring their connections with Pakistan's enemy #1.
On forced conversion, your claim is as bogus as the claims of hindu council, which have been proven wrong each and every time. Do i need to share news?
