Our reason is the same as yours........ If you think we are doing if for dollars than we think the same..... If you think we are doing it for world peace than you must be doing it for world peace too.

Well thanks for that post(Due to some reasons this thanx buton not working) I thought there is some other reasoning working here...Anyways don't know about BigBoss but I feel it great to see 3 Asian countries toping that list. and I personally appreciate Pakistan's inputs in maitaining peace and stability in the word.

A little ironical that Pakistan is not able to launch offensive against terrorists on its soil (NW) because of resource constraints (or so Pindi says), but is the largest contributor to peace keeping missions in foreign lands

Do you even know the meaning of the word 'resources'?

For UN missions, the majority resources are provided by UN.

It is a fact this is a money making scheme- the top 15 nations are devloping nations (LEDCs and NICs). This is a long proven fact which some nations openly admit- the pay of a single UN peacekeeper from any of these 15 top-contributing nations can be as much as 5 times more when on deployment than they can get at home. As such UN postings in these armies is usually highly converted. That is not to say the work these people do is poor just the motives for their respective governments is usually finacial gain. We can see nations like India, Brazil and China are trying to rapidly reduce their number of UN peacekeepers ( not too long ago India and China were in 1 and 2 postions on the arforemntioned list) as they themselves gain wealth to the extent they are lees dependant on the UN money. There has been considerable friction exerted by the UN to oppose this as these are major contributing nations. Others like BD (to some extent) Pakistan and many African nations are trying to fill these voids.
