Did we induct any sensors/radars that
would increase our range/chances for
detecting stealth aircrafts?

We need to protect our strategic installations against airstrikes from stealthy bombers.

I think we leased some Vera E ESM TDOA systems for evaluation. What happened to that? There is a similar Chinese sensor YLC 20.

We coupled HQ18 with IBS150 S-Band 3D radar. Is it any good for stealth detection?

There is a complete Silence on HQ-18 system Purchase by Pakistan ... last time i heard we have 3 Batteries for Evaluation purpose ... rest is still unknown

MODP have already paid 225 M USD for 3 battries of LY80 LOMADS .. Delivery date of the system is unknown

There was a new report regarding Radar technology by bbc, where it was reported that this technology would illuminate the entire region that it is covering and would start reflecting as soon as any thing that enters. This technology is a combination of multiple things working simultaneously.

Though this was reported nothing else was published regarding this.

Some years back there were some Pakistani news papers that reported Pakistan has got a breakthrough in latest Radar Technology locally and it can view any thing that enters Pakistan Airspace. But later on it is complete silence...some thing fishy is going on :lock:

L band radars are developed by several countries. If exact detection is not possible at least they can be used for early warning for vectoring planes towards that direction. Ofcourse the planes should fly low and stealth paint on top of the planes. For point defense and shorter-medium ranges to guide sams it can detect the location of the plane and in my opinion even f22 is vulnurable.

Late X band radars also can detect and process small objects like golf ball size(F 35) or tile size(B2 bomber).

ofcourse good point defense fast and accurate sams are necessary to protect the radars and airstrips both against hostile planes and also low altitude cruise or higher altitude ballistic missiles.

vera, kulchuga type of passive systems are good to detect uavs. since they continiously transmit video feed to guide by the operator they can be detected that way unless totally autonomous which L band radars somewhat can detect

As a ex student of aerospace sensors and system, i say "Nothing is stealth", if you have effective guts and eye. ;)

I cannot disclose my sources but...

some 5-6 years ago, a prominent research center in Islamabad , which has provided army with several successful projects before, was working on detecting stealth using multiple scattered ground based receivers.

Americans bombed entire Libiyan air force to ground thanks to its B2 stealth bomber. I just wonder some times do we have any thing to counter a B2 spirit from bombing any sensitive place in Pakistan?

:( i was planning to buy a stealth drone to keep an eye on my Girlfriend ,.... if nothing is stealth , than i am sure her Father is going to drop my drone with his " Spanch ki Chappal "

Even our senior members here on PDF refuse to comment.

may be they have no news on this particular subject ..
i have no inside or outside source :(
