PAF's doctrine was never "point-defence" focused. I have no idea what you are talking about.

PAF's strategic posture is defensive. That is, the main task of PAF is strategic defence of Pakistan's Air Space against Hindustan.

To achieve the above, limited "offensive-defence" strategy can be employed effectively

Focus on the word limited.

@AUz Yoou two are confusing an aggressor unit with an agressive unit.There is no change in PAF'f doctrine or something like that.Rather an aggressor unit is any unit within the airforce which act as if there are enemy aircract and employ enemy's tactics.In other words you can say that this unit is being specially made for DACT.

A very good step. Air force needs a X factor to keep the enemy on it's toes. In the 65 war we had F-104 Star fighter. We need air superiority and deep strike planes to give a thrashing to the Indians again.

Thanks to ALLAH , PAK forces are changing there "Defensive" force doctrine(looks like). Current doctrine of PAF and PN is against Islam , Quran and any modern warfare strategy .
You and your forces are useless if they cant go in to Enemy territory. simple , Isnt it?

Bhai, please refrain from the fatwa. Defence and offence is a matter of tactics, not religion. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used defensive tactics during the battle of the trench. He used offensive tactics when they were better placed to be used.

A lot of people misread both the idea of defensive and the aggressor patch

Those looking for defensive in context of PaF can read my article on the JF-17

And this is an agressor unit that will operate both in CCS & outside of it and will be dedicated for playing the enemy and using their tactics.

Currently CCS squadrons take turns in being the "enemy" & friendly- which at times can be taxing and inefficient

Hi,

Does not make any difference to the tactical situation---it is only for survival now---if it ever changes.

It is like cancer----when you get it at the time it is benign---you can get reid of it---but when you remove it when it is malignant---you have lost the race most of the time.

If it was done 15 years ago---the result would have been peace---and that would have resulted in a large economic growth for the nation.

Now Paf is 15 years behind in procurement---it can never fill the void created by its blunders---it is always going to do a cat up game---but it will not catch up in numbers---unless the enemy screws up in its procurement.
