PAF to build AESA Radars

this was a news 7 to 8 years ago .... PPP government didn't release 300 million funds for the development of National Electronic Complex at that time
The funds were eventually released and immediately diverted as public development fund for Raja Rentals constituency . He used the money to run his election campaign.
National electronics complex was also built eventually, only at a micro scale and now prints the circuit boards for military radios being used by Pakistan army. It's not doing any R&D work as it was supposed to.
But بھٹو زندہ ہے

What he said is mind-blowing. He clearly said 5th generation entirely by ourselves. Also AESA radar. This is a level of advancement we had no idea of. A man in his position wouldn't be talking fiction

I think PAF has spent the last few years just developing and training new talent for this exact purpose, and inshallah they will begin progress later this year.

We can only hope that the government understands, and releases the funding that they have requested, and that they finally put some money into the HEC.

Very nice share seems like Pakistan Airforce has a deep vision on 5th Generation plane goals ahead of what any of us may have been thinking on PDF.

  • 5th Gen plane, Education program and AESA platform radars

A promosing long term focus which will come in due time

Confirmed China will TOT KLJ7A AESA to PAF, Pakistan will produce its own AESA in the future. China had started to develop stealthy version of JF17 with Pakistan.

At 9th March, China CCTV had officially confirmed that J20 had been put into PLAAF service. The resource and human resource will be concentrated on J31. We will see a robust J31 machine in the near future. We live in a happy time, aren't we?

Is the KLJ-7A ToT news on Chinese news sites?

A great move. I am pretty sure the Turkish folks will be somewhere there. Specially in the field of GaN technology some Turkish universities and companies have been working for a long time. Hopefully, new ventures for joint R&D can be figured out...

To be precise - interestingly happy!!!

I felt this was a good example of some of the options available to Pakistan in terms of AESA development.

Aselsan is partnering with the Saudi entity Taqnia to develop radars, electronic warfare and electro-optical equipment in Saudi Arabia (link).
Similar arrangements should be made with Pak too...
