PAF successfully test-fires indigenously developed long-range smart weapon from JF-17 Thunder

For comparison here is a 2000lb mk84 strike from further away, looks very similar to what's shown on ARY video.

Trajectory also matches glide type weapon, a missile would come in much quicker.

Ah, my dear Pak,

I am/was not enjoying good health. So time out.... besides I thought I had nothing much to add.

Now that our residents Indians have gone la di da once again... so I thought to put my will and intent into achievement of Peace.

Pak State has created a new paradigm in SA, ME and SW Asia by striking Indians in broad daylight!

But I fear some falseflag and further escalation by Indians... I do fear war. I hate war and destruction.

Pak State must prepare wisely. It can become a wider / regional war. Your planners must percieve the worst and prepare accordingly.

The window of opportunity is closing fast for Indians to regain the myth of Indian power. So, obiviously they are desparate.

China is quite netural in this. You are on your own.

If you have to strike this time... then strike ruthlessly and hard right from the start.
Massive first response is the only way to ensure Peace. Especially in Kashmir.
Your coast is the target!

#KashmirIsFreeNow after Indian war crimes and crimes against humanity there.

CPEC Phase 2, the already discovered resources in Pak which shall be slowly released to public and now Surgical Strike 0.2. War is still possible. Quite so.

Don't you agree with me that Mr. Modi is an ISI agent? RSS is the strategic partner of ISI!

How are you?

Enjoy the great life and spend it wisely!

Regards,

Mangus
Every point is well defined and on target

'Indigenous' has a different meaning with Pak military. We have seen these claims with Zarb (C-602), REK (FT-6), Anza Mk II (QW-1) and many other weapon systems.

The crater formed/blast impact may also be possible with Raptor III with a penetration warhead.

what bout Denel Umbani/Tariq?

it mean indian forwarded bases such as udhampur, sirinagar, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Bikaner, Jaisalmir etc could be hit even without invading the air space :pakistan::enjoy:, indian airforce is not trained to use highways as runaways which mean this bomb has a significant importance

I was just randomly checking the distance of Indian airbases from our border and most of them are around 100km range. Can be hit with the weaponry we used on 27th.

This however is a different beast.

There is a lot of difference in both video. In Ary video the shock wave is expanding out wards and in your posted video it rises up. Thus the weapon used by Pakistan in not MK84 type but something more blast oriented. Some thing to destroy hardened buildings. The blast radius of Pakistani test is more focused on penetration.

I agree... Balst seems to be spreading side ways... Can be due to shape of charge or due to terrain as well

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully test-fired indigenously developed extended range “smart weapon” from JF-17 multi-role fighter aircraft on Tuesday.

The experiment marked a great milestone for the country as the weapon has been developed, integrated and qualified solely through indigenous efforts of Pakistani scientists and engineers, said a statement issued by the PAF.

“The successful trial has provided JF-17 Thunder a very potent and assured day and night capability to engage variety of targets with pinpoint accuracy,” it added.

Lauding the efforts of Pakistani scientists and engineers, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan congratulated the PAF personnel on the achievement of this monumental indigenous capability.

“Pakistan is a peace loving nation but if subjected to aggression by adversary, we would respond with full force,” he was quoted by the PAF spokesperson as saying.

The key test comes amid a tense military standoff with India, which was triggered by Indian claims of carrying out air strikes, targeting alleged terrorist camps inside Pakistan on February 26.

A day later, Pakistan retaliated with similar air strikes that led to dogfight, leaving two Indian warplanes downed. Pakistan also captured an Indian pilot but released it within 72 hours as gesture of peace.

However, an internal assessment of the government has now concluded that the threat of further escalation in tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours is over.

Threat of further escalation with India over, says senior Pakistani official

The assessment was shared by a senior official on Monday while giving a background briefing to a group of journalists on the current state of relations between the two neighbouring countries.

Last year, the JF-17 Thunder aircraft shot down a slow speed target with BVR (Beyond Visual Range) and IR (Infrared) missile with pin-point accuracy at Sonmiani firing range marking a landmark occasion for the force as well as the whole nation.

The facility, developed in collaboration with Chinese authorities, is equipped with real time tracking and measuring equipment to qualify the indigenously developed and procured weapon systems.

Yes that is the most important thing to notice. The blast happens after penetration so it should have gone upwards but instead the blasts spreads side ways so the bomb is designed to damage a contained facility for inside out explosion impressive tech displayed by Pakistan here. Further to notice the bomb is gliding to target due to the speed and precision if very accurate exactly where the tyers made the cross means path auto correction sensor is recognising terrain.

This means that Indian Rafale can be destroyed with in the protected pens. Now this will deter India to keep expensive jets away from Pakistani border and thus giving them less flight range to attack Pakistan.

If the need was to display just fire power and a smart bomb JF-17 can already carry GB6 glide bomb. But this was different bomb. What ever the message was to IAF it has been delivered.

So potentially if you can deploy 250 of these in quick successions u can take out most of IAF in pens... Atleast the ones that matter .... A thought to ponder upon as modi is readying for round 2 it seems like

Yes I think the idea is to tell India to stay at distance or we can take out that forward deployment IAF is planning. This will deter India to move back from forward bases and thus de-escalate the situation.
If Su30mki are deployed to forward bases it means that escalation can happen at any time. So showing capability of such weapon would push them back as it makes them venerable.
