27 February, 2020: “Pakistan Air Force, living up to its legacy, yet again made its mark through professional excellence and valour during Operation Swift Retort last year. Indeed, PAF prompt, measured and surprising response busted the aggressor’s arrogance” said the Air Chief while addressing a ceremony held at Air Headquarters, Islamabad to commemorate the PAF’s resounding victory in “Operation Swift Retort”. Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was the chief guest at the occasion.

Addressing the audience, the Air Chief further said, “While I assure Pakistani nation, on the preparedness of PAF to counter threats, we will not compromise on sovereignty or territorial integrity of Pakistan. Let there be no doubt that, PAF is, and would remain, reassuring fundamental of national defence.” He added that prior to aggression last year, our national leadership had made it amply clear that no misadventure against Pakistan would ever go un-responded. He further said, “Today, I reiterate that commitment and caution; to respond to aggressor was our compulsion, but measured and calibrated response was entirely our choice. Make no mistake; PAF when responds to irresponsible act, we may not always exercise restraint.”

Former Air Chiefs and a large number of PAF officials witnessed the ceremony. Earlier, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented the Guard of Honour. Another important event of the ceremony was a spectacular fly past by two formations of PAF fighter aircraft including F-16, JF-17 and Mirage aircraft. The ceremony was rounded off with soulful performance by the young students of Fazaia School and College.

Indians have been staging drama's of surgical strikes against Pakistan in the past. In fact, being cowards to their core, Indians almost always ensured that these strikes were symbolic in their nature (with a sole exception of shooting down PN Atlantic plane) with minimal military effect. The real gains of staging such symbolic strikes were exploited at tactical and strategic levels without attracting any bloody response from Pakistan. It was used for projecting India as a strong and dominant actor at regional stage capable of launching per-emptive strikes albeit under the name of action against terrorism. No or a meek Pak response (being little more than denying any Indian action on ground) to Indian actions in the past bolstered Hindu terrorist Modi & Gang.

In that context, Modi thought it politically beneficial and strategically feasible to launch a strike in proper Pakistan in such a way that it causes minimal or no human loss in Pakistan. So, I feel Indians did not really wanted to hit that Madrassa or kill 300 teenagers studying there. The goal was to drive the political and strategic benefits through a propaganda blitz just after dropped a few bombs in unpopulated area. Post strike, Modi was able to drive electoral benefits out of this strike but the mantra of setting a new norm was busted and effectively smashed by the PAF's bold response. I wish Pakistan could have staged a more devastating blow to Indians (much more than just humiliating them) for shattering any Indian dream of imaginary or real surgical strike in future.

They lied from Pulwama till date... for everything they said was actually nothing more than a political stunt. The same lies included their immediate claim of 300+ terrorists neutralized which verify that they were so confident to hit anything but missed it due to timely interception by PAF and IAF incompetence. They didn't need to make tall claims if they didn't want to hit anything.

Their every claim & lie was busted since Pulwama... Pakistan wasn't involved and India couldn't prove it at all... IAF didn't hit anything but made tall claims to cover their own failures and PAF retaliated as a show of capability, will, courage & resolve.

The Indian government and their armed forces can spew all bullshit they want, but they've been hit and hit in a manner that they never expected. Purpose of this was to next time think more than once than using another country as a playground for political motives.
