WHERE IS SIR MURADK?
New Recruit
Saniya you may see doctors and nurses in PAF but they are actually on deputation. This is the process.
You have to join AMC Army Med College Rawalpindi. After Grad you are giving the option to join any 3 forces Army, PAF, Navy. You as a doctor will be on deputation for the rest of your carrer if you choose to remain in PAF or Navy. In PAF you will where blue uniform in Navy whites. Your ranks will be of that force. As you get senior you will keep going back to Army for traning and different courses and them come back to PAF. Most Doctors in PAF remain in PAF because of the benifits they get from PAF. When you reach the rank of Wing Cmd ( Lt Col ) you will be transfered back to Army for 5 years and them again you have the choice to join any force. As a female you can not become a Flight Surgeon because you have to fly now and them never by your self always with a GDP . in the 70s and 80s PAF required flight surgeons to have atleats 10 to 15 hours a year so that they know what a pilot goes through.
Most females go back to Army after the rank of Lt Col because they have more scope and more departments. Remember PAF doctors are only family physician/general physician , any thing major you refer them to CMH.
