Pakistan Air Force Line - boeing 777 armed with RAADs. They will get you on time to Islamabad and provide long range stand-off capacity with increased loiter times.
Also available will be F-16B Business jet, with an unmatched 30 degree reclined near business class seat, unparalleled view and excellent information system for on time service.

That is where I see this involvement of the already corruption maligned PAF barely out of Musharraf era ruin into commercial service going into.

Why do you say corrupt? And this could actually be good for the country, as it is, our CAA is not able to put something like this together. We have potential to increaase our national input into the civil aviation sector. With arshad Malik being the chairman PIA this could come together nicely

Because any involvement of the military with commercialism corrupts. Pakistan isn’t the only place where this has occurred.

It could be a seminar but I dont think PAF should be involved in developing aviation industry. It should be a strictly business initiative run by civilians with technical input possibly from PAF.

Except are the any civilians interested? If it were the case, it would have happened already one would imagine. Fact of the matter is, anyone with the capacity to set this up has other means to make more profit in a less risky venture, hence we are where we are in terms of industry.

i couls see why you say that, but in Pakistan there is a lack of infrastructure and economic depth to enable infrastructure development, and to ensure continuous innovation. the primary reason is an inefficient allocation of resources, including corruption at every level of government and also inefficient management practices. In such a situation, armed forces have to step in because they provide a degree of accountability and also provide a somewhat skilled workforce for project management. We couldnt wait for everyone else to catch up, what needs to be done, needs to be done for the country. Everyone needs to have a bigger heart. I have it on good authority that eventually as national institutions catch up and clear their houses, the military will step back, but only once a robust system has been established and military is convinced of its efficacy and transparency. look at how the govt messed up an uber grand opportunity like CPEC, then armed forces had to step in to clear the mess once again.

Pakistan used to be a major aviation hub up until the mid 90s when, Dubai which by the way is less strategically located then Karachi, opened up it's larger and better built airport, while Pakistan missed the opportunity with the poor designs of it's airports,it's protectionists policies and political turmoil lost all its customers

Probably should learn from Arabs.

All the cock mockery aside, point in case is Saudi case for the Taqniya.

They knew there is corruption, and they knew why it was happening,
so they created a commercial organization, and gave it business goals .. away from the actual fighting force.
