It's a basic trainer...followed by K-8 Advance trainer and then the real deal. You can not expect a rookie to make a direct jump to a platform yeah?

True, it is originally a Swedish design by SAAB but PAC has attained OEM status long time back with complete manufacturing facilities and control over marketing, sales and upgrades. Hence sales to Iraq, KSA, Sa etc were made by PAC and not by SAAB. Besides Super Mushak is purely in-house upgrade.

Super Mushak

Mushak is the upgraded version of MFI 17 with more powerful engine , duel flight control, electronic systems and PAC has sole manufacturing rights from SAAB. its design roots from the basic MFI15/ 17 SAAB yes but its a derivative with physical improvements
