Hi,

Is this from AFM?

You must acknowledge them.

One was a much more committed supporter of defence modernization than the other (for various reasons). After all money is always tight and this is where prioritization comes up. Musharraf made sure that armed forces were being looked after and the AFDP 2015 was given the needed boost during his time, the results of which are being seen now.

One plus to the PPP government is that they have extended the current AFDP out to 2025 which over time will cost about $28B (including expenditures starting from 2004).

The following is a ******** video of the PAF at AE 07 I believe and the PAF had already placed the order for the EWTTR with Havelsan, as the PAF officer refers to. The PAF range, based on the officers comments, is a mirror of the one at Konya. Listen from 1:31.

********.com - Turkey holds joint exercises with US, British, Pakistani, Jordanian, NATO air forces

This will be a big boost for training of our airmen in strike and surface attack roles. As mentioned by a member above, for DACT and air to air training, the CCS already has a pretty elaborate capability in place.

Very soon to see EW/ELINT as well as Strike:

My rough guess is ACMI is more inclined with DACT, hence honing the dogfighting skills of pilots, where as EWTTR is geared up to say Radar and sensor jamming tactics to render enemy's defences blind and helpless. This is just my assumption

It is all done on the same range now. The initial range was an ACMI range (10+ years old now). With Turkish assistance, the capabilities were upgraded to train the aircrews and assess against not only dissimilar combat, but in a multi-role environment against all threats including EW ones. The idea is that strike packages have to not only defend themselves against adversarial aircraft in air combat, but also defend against ground based threats and in most instances, this would be the case with all or most missions.

DACT camps are held all around and the data can be downloaded from the pods locally and assessed. So this venue alone is not the only place for conducting DACT camps.
