According to a news report in AFM, in early January the PAF's Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range (EWTTR) was officially opened. Situated 31 miles from Sargodha Air Base, where the Combat Commanders School resides, the PAF is now rotating all it's combat units through the base in two-week detachments to increase pilot's tactical proficiency. This will continue until August when the units will get a chance to practice their newly learned skills before being tested late in the year in a major exercise. One of the first two units to enjoy the EWTTR was No.27 Squadron (Night Hawks) with it's Mirage-VEPs from Rafiqui and No.2 Squadron F-7Ps from Masroor.

Now that is some real good news! Thanks. Will we ever have programs like Red Flag in Pakistan with guest from arab nations or far east asia? Lovely developments.

Rumour has it that the Shaheen-1 with PLAAF was one such exercise.

How is EWTTR different from ACMI Range at Sargodha?

My rough guess is ACMI is more inclined with DACT, hence honing the dogfighting skills of pilots, where as EWTTR is geared up to say Radar and sensor jamming tactics to render enemy's defences blind and helpless. This is just my assumption

Thanks sir...i think SEAD missions will be conducted in it along other mission, also EWTTR will incorporate more role from air defence branch as well.

One would expect.. that they build an integrated range.. that adds ACMI to the EWR Range..
after all... its never going to be one threat at a time.

. .
Indeed, also it will be interesting to know what role the new dual seater Block-52s will be deployed in .

Yes, definitely with Sniper ATP & DB110 Goodrich's induction the Bk52's participation in the range would be discussable....right now its too early for them to took part in the range, as right now their emphasize is on training of more combat ready pilots.
