PAF could have downed more Indian planes in Pulwama crisis: ex-air chief

Thank you pak airforce you spared us from certain defeat .
When you have nothing else to say :dance3: 😜

Be happy, your hard work paid off, IAF earned enough insult internationally. for now, until you try again.
No purpose for earning so much insult when they do not even have the sense to feel it. 😜

.
Every one of your points merits detailed discussion.

Like the above quoted one...

Why, even after five decades, we still lack PAF radar and MOB / FOB coverage in North Pakistan? Especially in area adjacent to AK? That's where IAF actually came in.

Why there is lack of PAF radar and aircraft coverage on the western border, and especially Balochistan?

These are interesting questions with equally interesting answers.
Why not? Due to the terrain perhaps?

Anyways thumbs up to great PAF. The only institution which is professional.
PAF is what it is today due to Americans to be honest, I think it's the one institution that absorbed a strong positive work culture and worked hard to be a formidable force.

I really hope it maintains this going forward because we've seen institutions collapse and become corpses in this country.

Yes, one of the main reason. With a number of valleys in play, every valley deserves its own radar coverage... Like post Balakot, we started deploying MPDRs over vulnerable approaches.....

... And then, simply, lack of AD and radar assets. Priorities.... We have more sensitive targets south of Kashmir which deserve to be protected more.

With Indian claims of multiple AMRAAMs being fired, and IAF able to dodge all of them, one also wonders where the other pieces are.... Would have loved one of them to have struck the Phalcon AWACS once it was bugging out of the theatre.

I am still perplexed. Some of you guys are saying PAF response was not enough?

PAF struck the ammo dump in very close proximity in Rajouri and Poonch sectors and had the video shown to everyone.

What other response were you expecting from PAF? Striking IAF airbases? Or striking more IAF jets?

The primary objective was to show the adversary that PAF can strike deep within IoK. The added bonus was Mig21.

In the end, the adversary did not go up the escalation ladder. The matter was done. From a strategic perspective further escalation would not have served either India or Pakistan.

Do not look at war from a perspective of settling scores. Look at it professionally from achieving strategic objectives.

IAF was able to retrieve only one, rest were consumed within.........went too deep into the territory .

to make it short and simple, it should have not reached to response level, of course we would have appreciated the icing on the cake.

This AMRAAM was probably pulled off from a Su30MKI wreckage.
wreckage se nikalain ya werecked bund se, sanu ki, hamaray missile to ghuss gai na

. . . . . .
The rest were C8, D and AXE versions of AIM 120.
Even these names are sounding dangerous to a paindo like me, i can just imagine sufferings of IAF

Either they should have shown all the fired ones, with their fuel spent and warheads intact... Or nothing at all..... Unless they also claim that the proximity fuse was Indian made.
are they confirming that all of them made contact?

This was the worst blunder they made that day. They will pay for it forever.
and they are proud of it.

Christian Fair ne to ghar mae ghuss kar baja di aur kiya chahiyay
