Seriously? This is outrageous and it seems like S.Arabia has got a really sour deal here- losing that kind of experience- building 40+ Typhoons is substantially harmful to S.Arabia's long term aerospace industry.Al-Salam Aerospace was going to assemble the Typhoons in Saudi Arabia but then Boeing increased its shares in Al-Salam from 20% to 50% effectively having the majority of shares and sole decision making, which then Boeing refused to assemble Typhoon.
Who okayed this descion in Govt? Wouldn't it have been clear from the outset that Boeing were going to take such a step and block a rival's interests?
Why did the Saudi govt allow their, seemingly, premier aerospace institution to be handed over on a silver platter to a foreign power?
