My guy is safe, relieved. Gen Sarfraz Ali is a solid general with tons of diverse appointments and experience. May Allah protect him and the crew of the heli.

On 01 Aug 22 at about 1710hrs Heli (Acrycl Heli) of 7 Army Avn Sqn took off from Uthal for PAF Base FSL.

*-* ETA was expected at around 1805hrs however Heli has not yet landed at PAF Bas Faisal.

*-* On board Lt Gen Sarfaraz Ahmad Corps Cdr 12 Corps.

*-* Fault diagnosed overdue (missing). ATC FSL is making efforts to locate the subject Aircraft.

Sometime ago, a member @PAR 5, on the occasion of a previous crash, allegedly blew the whistle that Army Aviation had taken the brunt of economic crunch and was facing serious issues. He allegedly left after complaining of being harassed for "blowing the whistle". I wonder how much truth was in his claims.

Horrible. Terrible news!!!! I just hope and pray the cause is not what I am dreading.
Also the platform is not what I would have expected such a VVIP to be in, especially for such a long journey.

But Écureuil is built for the unforgiving Siachen conditions, it would be odd if it breaks down due to climate.
