What's new

P.C and gaming nerds needed! help!

1. Check PSU brand and wattage, a 3080ti is a monster card and frequently have spike, need to be 1000w or more.

2. What is the cooler used and what is average temperature?

3. Recheck RAM slot for dirt or badly working RAM.

4. The HDD, check its health.

5. Reinstall Windows.

Blue screen is usually a hardware issue nowadays.

It happens when he’s running applications or software.

I bet it has to do with his memory modules..

Ok, so i got this set up about a year ago and sometimes when I'm listening to music and playing diablo or God of war, i get the blue screen of death

these are my status. So why do i get the blue screen of death still?

Most likely your PSU, make sure that it’s 1000 watts minimu, and from a quality brand.

One should always get a gold rated psu, but the fact that he says it happens sometimes and that it happens when he’s playing music makes me think it’s a ram issue.

Again, none of us will be sure without the error code.

Rest is up to this guy.

PSU and coolers are incredibly important nowadays, anybody who don't do research while buying them risk damaging all other valuable components.

I just ran his specs through a power-draw calculator, I'd actually go with 1200 watts to be safe, that 3080ti is a power hog. I agree with you about the quality of the PSU to ensure stability.

Edit: Actually I will amend that 1200 watt power draw after running through 2 alternative calculators, even 1000 watts would be more than enough. I don't think the original poster is over clocking or using resouce heavy applications like Blender, gaming won't stress the PSU to the limit of the system.

like others have said, check the BSOD error code

what are your temps looking like ? though probably not the issue if you're crashing even while playing music.

have you overclocked the CPU/GPU ?

do the usual, check your connections, reseat everything and try running with just 1 memory module.

good luck, BSODs suck.

Im pretty sure this gulfie is just flexing his hardware and there’s nothing wrong.

He got an 8 core/16 thread processor to play diablo?

LMAO

That’s like buying a Bugatti to get groceries from the local supermarket...

Oh wait! Gulfies would do that though...

"Monitor: Acer America Corp. Z301C (2560x1080 / 29.5 Inch)" <- ye dalnay ki kya zaroorat thi ? :P

If it's BSODing during gaming it's most probably a heating issue. Check your temps properly, get something like openhardwaremonitor and start logging your temps while gaming. Once it crashes again you can check the log and figure out if any component is indeed overheating.
With such a build though I won't be surprised if it indeed is a heating issue.
I remember when I used to game on a gt 610, temps were least of my worries back then.

.
We need the error code of the bsod genius, not you flexing your hardware.
Poorest Emirati

Try running Memtest86 maybe one of your RAM modules is malfunctioning

Or you can send the hardware over here I will thoroughly analyse it :rolleyes1:

.
Ventilate the inside of the chasis, reinsert RAM after cleaning, works 9/10 times.
