The 60 million Chinese who live outside of China have long been an economic powerhouse in their own right. They play major, often dominant, economic roles in many countries in South-East Asia.

With an estimated wealth of more than US$1.5 trillion, they constitute what could arguably be called the third-largest economy in the world after the gross national products (GNPs) of the United States and China.

How powerful are they? About as powerful as the UN, that is, about as powerful as how unified the block is, that is not at all.

Thanks for posting a thread about us, I do a brief write up later with regards to Singapore and China's relations from the 80's. Writing from an iPad is not easy :(

Here comes the high IQ "lamlap"

Let me try to increase your IQ a bit more:

Wealth is a stock concept (e.g. what is the wealth as of 31-March-2011).

GDP is a flow concept (e.g. what is the GDP for the year 1-Apr-2010 to 31-March-2011).

Ok.. your saving grace is that .... you get only 50 cents for this kind of posts.
Too low; hence the quality of the posts is explainable.

quite a good example of how a Chinese nationalist think.. he is fresh here so he doesnt aware of the unofficial game rule of this forum.. and choose to post what he actually believe.. a whole Chinese nationalist online community like tiexue (100 thousands active member i guess)share his believe (Chinese its the smartest race)..

my only warm reminding for OP: this is Pakistan Defense Forum, its not tiexue..

What an idiotic thread. Expect a Chinese fella to come up with stuff like this.

Have you ever seen the English and Irish people doing such things? Adding the economy of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and going overseas English, the worlds largest economy?

These people are not Chinese. They are Singaporean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Phillipino and so on. They are ethnic Chinese but thats about it.

You are making these people look bad.

There seems to be a Chinese race and everything else. I would like the present day researchers to get input from 'lamlap' to define this Chinese race.
