Over 4.76 lakh cattle seized by BSF along international border with Bangladesh in last five years

You tried and failed already. Time to time you will just see the noise of illegal Bangladeshi noise from BJP/RSS groups during election time for communal vote bank politics.
We did NRC only in Assam ,this time it will happen all across the country, all illegal immigrants will be weeded out thrown into detention centers and deported.

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said on Wednesday that over 4.76 lakh cattle meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh were seized by the Border Security Forces (BSF) along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

According to reports, 1,68,801 cattle were seized along the border in 2016, 1,19,299 in 2017, 63,716 in 2018, 77,410 in 2019 and 46,809 in 2020. The figures show a steep decline from nearly 1.7 lakh in 2016 to barely 47,000 in 2020.

Nityanand Rai said that the BSF had taken effective measures to curb cattle smuggling along the border including round-the-clock patrolling, laying nakas, establishing observation posts and strengthening the existing defences of Border Outposts.

Cattle smuggling remains a concern along the international border with Bangladesh and steps have been taken to curb the menace in recent years. Recently, three BSF personnel were dismissed for their involvement in cattle smuggling.

According to reports, Special Director General of BSF Pankaj Kumar Singh informed that apart from the three dismissed BSF personnel, about a dozen other personnel have been transferred since September last year in connection with the trans-border cattle smuggling case.

Nityanand Rai said that whenever the involvement of BSF personnel in the smuggling comes to light, appropriate disciplinary action is taken following investigation by the forces.

This number sounds like there is a wild beast crossing on the India Bangladesh border

It was 5 million couple of years ago. The actual crossing now dropped below 1 million now a days. These are the one just captured by BSF a very tiny portion of smuggled cattle.

I've seen some videos before, but my point was that killing dozens of people every year is clearly an overreaction, and cruel.
In our countries, killing a man means you pretty much kill the family.

The value of smuggling between Iran and Pakistan is over 2 billion dollars, and much more from Afghanistan, it causes massive losses in tax collection for Pakistan and effects local industries. They don't go around killing people. If they did, I would be condemning them as well.

There is clearly a fence, and if it is happening on a regular basis, introduce relevant measures to stop it, rather then constant crying and killing Bengalis. smuggling always involves people from both sides, why are there no stories about Indians getting killed.

Indians always playing the victim card and act like they are innocent and find fault in all their neighbours, the country is dirt poor and messed up, it is unbelievable that Indians are not involved in the smuggling game, there should be some people dying on the Indian side as well. The fact that is not happening shows this is not the full picture, it doesn't add up, its basic common sense.

For their own incompetence, they find it easier just to kill Bengalis. That's shameful.

Killing happen when bribe money not given to BSF and smugglers try to bypass them.

Billions worth of product renter Bangladesh illegally from India every year. This is not possible without direct assistance of BSF. As there are money so is the cruelty of killing. As smuggling money sharing is a big business as well.

That's extremely shameful, if not the government, at least the Bangladeshi press should make a big deal about it. All we hear is it's the bad criminal Bengalis, which is a wrong story, and what you just said makes a lot of sense.

Bengalis are the last end carriers some of them are extremely poor. They didn’t go to India to live there. Cow come from as far as Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana etc. for smuggling to Bangladesh. It’s a complete chain and racket as well. In between Indian highway police also gets a cut.

Every time I communicate with you I am reminded of that dumb *** I met on the street.

If you had read my replies properly, I have already mentioned the smuggling, not just on the Pakistan Iran border but also on the Pakistan Afghanistan border, and how much loss Pakistan suffers as a result.

What you failed to understand in that tiny head of yours, is that Pakistani border guards do not kill innocent civilians, they do not cry about it all the time.
The idea is you try to stop the smugglers as much as you can, but shooting to kill, you only do that if you have no heart. You don't just kill a man, you kill a family.

The Indian Border guards take bribes, profit from the smuggling, and shoot to kill, either for fun or they were not paid enough, that's despicable and inhuman.

Next time, it would be nice if you could read my replies properly before spewing your BS.

We are tired of making a 'big deal' of it for fifty long years.

Time has come to shut down all trade with India. They are in business only to benefit their selfish selves.

Their BSF acts like some small time third rate gandhey gully hoodlum from some Bombay slum....shoot first, ask questions later. Lately our people (not our border guards) have been getting arms and chasing these BSF.

Kanjoosi Indian govt. does not spend on training these hoodlums. Unprofessional force if one has ever seen....

BSF getting desperate.

. . .
only religious bigotry and backwardness is responsible ,otherwise indian farmers are very much in distress because of rising population of stray cattles.
Indian hindus sale their mother at 5,000 Rs. to the cow smugglers. And just crossing the border into Bangladesh, that cow fetch 50,000 Rs. Is there any wonder, why so many smugglers are desperate to do this business which gives 10 times return and risking BSF bullet? My question is, why Indian Hindus sale their mothers this cheap to smugglers? Where is 'Gaumata bhakti' abandoning the mothers in the streets or selling them to smugglers? This Indian hindu hypocrisy also causing so much problem for our cattle industry. Bangladesh is unfortunate of sharing a very long border with a country which have the largest cow herd in the world yet can not consume beef due to religious taboo. This created a fertile ground for all these smuggling activities, mayhem and killing in our border.
