Actually there are probably negligible no of Ahmedis in India. Most Indians (included my Muslim friends) haven't even heard of him.

That is because most left to US/ UK under asylum. My friend happens to be one and that is how he got here. Like I stated earlier we are good friends except we never bring up religion. The thing with India is, it is probably because of Pakistan that they are considered Muslim. Since India was never a part of OIC their own religious authorities did not participate in the council to evaluate the qadiani beliefs. So on the outward they go about as Muslims in India and nobody knows any better unless they walk into one of their mosques and sits for a couple of days to realize the difference.

No, its probably because of India's constitution. If somebody says he is Muslims, he is Muslim as per our Constitution. No Ulemma or authority can question his genuineness or faith or correctness.
The constitution cannot define religion here. (actually its nearly impossible to define Hinduism as well, given the variations).
Kerela high court actually gave a verdict, refusing to accept the Ahmedis as non Muslims

Yeah, I know about that verdict but it is because the Ullema in India did not know why they were not Muslim. They could not present a clear case against them.

Dude, the Ulema here don't have the authority. They are consulted for Muslim personal laws, but defining a religion is not possible in India. Perhaps because it is difficult to define Hinduism. Or perhaps because the constitution is secular.

One question: There are two Ahmedi groups right? The other one being Lahore Ahmediya movement? Are they declared non muslims too(Pakistan)?

Yes! Both are non Muslims..

Qadani group claims that Mirza was a Prophet while Lahore Ahmediiya says he was merely a reformer and Imam Mahdi.

Good job bro spread the message because some Hindus and Christians need to understand that we ain't the ones who started this and if they are "persecuted" like they claim why are they among the riches people on this planet and have all their own tv shows etc not just in Pakistan but the world. Also it was not just Muslims who had problems with him, even Hindus and Christians wanted to beat him up. However British government protected him.

It is complicated man, that is what we have been trying to tell you guys since forever!! Which is why we tell you do not demonize us because you do not know why we have said what we say about them.

Also when they say they are persecuted it is isolated incidents like this one here not a widespread issue. They only use this as an excuse to go to US/UK etc. Besides that in Pakistan they are high income and serve in the army and parliament.
