Do you even realize that the burgeoning anti-Army and anti-Pakistan sentiment in KP, which hitherto existed on the fringes of society, is on the brink of becoming a mainstream discourse, and the only factor that is currently holding it back is the immense popularity of PTI and its leader Imran Khan across KP?

Siway in akal kay andho kay any sane person can tell you that if this is not sorted out and things done correctly, KPK will descend into Chaos, KPK shares border with Balochistan and Waziristan and one can just imagine what is going to happen after that.

Lots of myths are being busted which should lead us to reexamine our beliefs:

1. Khamosh or otherwise, there are no mujahids in the officer rank of the army anymore. May be include air-force as well. More than a year has passed but no dissension in the ranks and nada from any retired army chief. A respected, retired eighty year old general was thrown in jail but no ghairath was insulted then. Aslam Beg used to cry yehudi saazish every time he opened his mouth but now that saazish is actually taking place, he has suddenly lost his voice. Raheel Sharif's picture was painted behind water tankers. But that was money down the drain. Only Musharraf, bless his soul, while he lay dying, had words of encouragement for IK.

2. Dawa of bahaduri of jawans are just that - dawa. Political movements succeed when armed units defect to the side of haq. No such move seems to be in the offing.

3. Our pathan brothers had reputation which painted them as a qaum which jealously guards its honor. Government has violated chaadar/chaardiwari of prominent PTI leaders from KP but no howls of protest. No jhutaas are heading to Islamabad from KP. For better or worse, MQM, which had little training in arms. eliminated most police officers that took part in anti-MQM operation. Will we see similar reaction in KP? Aasaar are not good.

4. As usual, mullahs and their followers are all bark and no bite. High profile mullahs sided with INC during Tehrik-ay-Azadi. Their modern day counterparts, once again, are on the wrong side of history.

5. Pakistani women put men to shame.

6. And what stays constant: awam will never learn.

Name calling was technique taught by Joseph Goebbels to the entire generation of Germany in order to dehumanize whoever was opposing Nazi beliefs. Italy and Germany have faced populist ideas and narratives. We have got our share in shape of another destructive Niazi in 21st century.....And your mindset is worst than ostrich who atleast sense something before burrying their slim heads inside sand.

Common solider firing straight is acceptable?
and what's is all this whole narrative about "common soldier" are they a holy cow? Are the other sons & daughters of a lesser God?

Well said and fair enough but what is your stance on accountability? all those who have deprived this poor nation for their own personal gains should be pardoned?
If the common soldier is attacking the people of Pakistan then he deserves the death penalty; however, if he is shooting terrorists attacking state organs/institutions etc., then he is a patriotic son of the country deserving of the highest accolades.

As for accountability; trust me, if true accountability is ever implemented in this country, most of the countrymen would either be executed or amputated!! Therefore, first we need to establish a system and look for the future, holding on to past transgressions would do no service to Pakistan.

Yo
I would add to your post and state that corruption is the menace which we need to fight at the very end; we need to start off by fielding a collective plan of action to activate and enhance export oriented economy, reset current situation and bring normalcy to Pakistan, in addition we have to show unity on short-term, medium-term and long-term goals and objectives with clear and concise plan of action agreed upon by ALL the stakeholders. And we need to get rid of egos and revenge politics.

Once the country is steered towards prosperity, corruption, intolerance and lawlessness will start coming down as these things are co-related. Once stability and growth is achieved, we can go after corruption at the highest level and everything will eventually fall in its rightful place.
Such a highly disciplined army doenst even have the experience power or equipment to maintain control by using other means than firing live rounds into the crowd? The foot siliders are shooting civilians.

The common solider bleeds while the top Generals enjoy their freedoms. The anger should shown to the Generals and the politicans for this disastrous game.
For how long will the Generals be slaves to the west?
I agree; all anger should be directed at the military and political leadership only.

But we seriously need introspect and we need to understanding what's going on. Quite simply, if the calls of your leader is leading the country towards instability, destruction and chaos then the leader is a wrong number.

I am only reading these claims, there is no evidence of the Army using live rounds on civilians.

Large crowds expected in Clifton

Sir

Right now we can expect large crowds even outside Pakistan.

Once upon a time the army was a respected entity and the only one in Pakistan respected. Now they have been infested with the same disease as the rest resulting in 1 step forward and 3 back for the Pakistan awaam.
The army is corrupt to the core and its leaders will only take action when it suits them. Ideally the ones creating this havoc and the Sharif clan would jump at the army now intervening and seizing control. Its perhaps their end game when this sequence of arrests started. Holding elections is a no because they will get politically violated - hence this is the best for the time being.

MQM is indeed credited with kills of around 200 police personnel who were part of an elite hit squad under whose actions almost 15000 Mohajir youth were murdered! However, we can never know how many of the 200 police personnel were actually killed as per plans or were simply killed in revenge killing by family of those who had lost many dear ones to the brutal, barbaric and ethnic acts of the Police. Mind you, the Rangers and Army were also equally involved in the operations against MQM and Mohajirs when curfew was imposed in Karachi.

EXACTLY. Look at the number of deaths in KP alone. It's several times the rest combined. It's 38/47. 80% of all deaths

There are ample videos on twitter where one can see them shooting straight at unarmed protestors.

Though I am a law abiding citizen but I have reached a point that if army can use guns, then why should a common civilian cannot use his? after all it was acquired for his personal protection.

Btw how many of these common or uncommon soldiers have died in past few days and how many of these protestor (your terrorists) ?
