Being in the insurance industry, I know the insurance brokerage (family-run operation in Maryland) that insures the embassy and consulate; and he informed me that besides embassy and consulate facilities, the Government of Pakistan owns several houses within close proximity the visiting delegation could have utilized.

For the whole entourage ? I’ve received heads of Indian intelligence agencies (+few African and eu heads of various high offices) on behalf of a multilateral agencies on several occasions. The foreign mission on the ground always receives them, but these guys are typically put up in marquee hotels in the area. Not the foreign mission premises itself. Goes for heads of state too.

Im fairly certain the first part is not true. The secret service needs to approve any location for dignitary in an effort to ensure they can provide adequate security. The embassy is a secured compound and that is different. Roosevelt would be an option, but again, just cuz govt owns it doesnt mean they dont incur cost by using it for such visits too. The UNGA creates these hurdles for USSS because they are entrusted with protecting all foreign heads of state while in US.

The reality is where he stays is less an issue than what he spits out his mouth and how many leaches he brings with him.
