51st shahadat anniversary of Flight Lieutenant Samad Changezi SJ.
His RJAF F-104A was shot down in dogfight over Mirpurkhas by IAF MiG-21FL flown by Flt Lt Arun Dutta.
This was last time IAF scored kill in A2A combat against PAF fighter aircraft.

He was commanding No 6 Squadron based at Lahore when he took off in a Bristol Freighter with 18 souls on board for a bombing training mission at Jamrud range. Destination was to be Peshawar Airfield. Also on board was S/L Shahzada OC Admin Wing Lahore and another officer who were actually booked on another freighter which went via Chaklala but they chose to travel in this one due to shorter leg.

They never reached Peshawar as aircraft crashed near Khewra with everyone on board killed. Freighter involved was Sr no G783. Aircraft had entered a high speed stall, It was first major fatal accident involving any PAF aircraft. May all souls rest in peace. Crash date 26th August 1952

Flight Lieutenant Mustafa was commanding No 246 MOU unit deployed in Tangail in March 1971 when he was ordered to recover back to Dhaka, after martyrdom of 15 of his unit personnel at the hands of Mukti Bahini terrorists. His convoy was ambushed by terrorists and he along with 20 other men were captured on 27th March 1971 by dreaded Kader Bahini. Consigned to underground dungeon at Mymensingh jail, He was officialy declared MIA. it later transpired that he and His men were subjected to most brutal forms of torture and finally executed on 17th April 1971. He left behind widow, Shabina Mustafa and 2 months old son Zain. He was awarded SJ after the war. Shabina later became famous for setting up garage Schools for Children of slums in Karachi. Nation is proud to have martyrs like Flight Lieutenant Safi Mustafa who refused to abandon his men and died with his boots on.
