Every time a fighter pilot steps into his aircraft, he knows the odds against him, yet, he straps himself in the cockpit and goes on.

Many of them return back and some fail to do so in the line of duty. I don't have words to explain the bravery of Wing Commander Khurram samad and Squadron Leader Umair. With the engine on fire, intense heat and smoke engulfing the cockpit, knowing that either its them or others, whom they don't know, yet delaying the ejection when the stalled plane hit electricity pole, they even did not eject when the plane hit the bus and when they cleared the population to their best, only wing commander khurram managed to eject, but the seat separation system failed and he hit a bus and embrassed shahadat on the spot. Squadron leader Umair could not eject from the crippled air craft. My heart goes for these unsung heroes of the nation, and their loved ones specially their children who will always miss the warmth of their brave fathers knowing that they laid down their lives for Pakistan.

I believe no collection of words etc. can pay tribute to what they did up there.

As Allama Iqbal said:

"Mere Khaak-o-Khoon Se Tu Ne Ye Jahan Kiya Hai Paida
Sila-e-Shaheed Kya Hai, Tab-o-Taab-e-Javidana"

This is the reward only Allah Almighty can pay to them. We should always remember in our prayers all those who lost their lives in the line of duty and who are still defending the fronts of Pakistan in air, land and sea. May Allah bless them all.
