Our defence goods suitable for Bangladesh: India

Bangladesh is progressing economically, it needs to be integrated into Pak/China block for rapid economic progress and acess to weapons India can only dream off.
Bangladesh is always friendly in regards to trade with China. Pakistan doesn’t have anything that benefits us.

The military also buys inconsequential items like blankets, lentil, some bulletproof vests, fabric, etc. from India from time to time. There is no dependency on anything.
We make bulletproof vests though
Never seen our military buy even a bullet from India. Not sure if that will ever change. Our government can all be India-friendly as they like but it will be next to impossible to convince our military to buy Indian weapons. Hasina knows jacksh*t about military being the Defence Minister herself. All the needs, assessments and requirements comes from the military brass. Never have I ever seen a tender that includes India's name or even indicates it indirectly.

Didn't their defence minister visit us twice and their PM offered $500 million soft loan to buy Indian weapons? What happened to it? Anyone remembers?

Exactly, no one does because no one gives a rat$ a$$ here. End of story.
All talk no actions...
The funds were never even budgeted for. Just assurances

This country of 1.5 billion can't even make something worthy for Zambia's defence let alone us.
True. Even if India produce the best quality weapons in the world, still Bangladesh will not buy them, at least by any regime who have an iota of responsibility for the country.

These banyas are forgetting that, Bangladeshi govt. did not buy any bullet from India when their best buddy Congress was in power in India. Now we are speaking of a virulent Muslim hating, Bangladesh hating regime whose ministers and MP's do not spare any chance to threat and insult Bangladesh. Only a traitor akin to Mir Jafar can go for their arms.

They bought staff car, Tata hexa, after three years of incessant nagging, that's about it.

And apparently some half-broken coast guard ships. Pretty sure this must have made headlines in India.
