I bet Orya sahab would bend over backwards to get any international award let alone Nobel peace prize.
Problem is that for people like Orya Sahab, the concerns for human rights and Pakistan's image only come into play when someone is being awarded a prize by the west, and not when earlier the same person raises voice for her education and then gets shot for doing that by the Taliban.
What would you say about George Galloway ........
He talks about the Iraqi girl Abeera Hamza and her rape by American soldier. He needs to be reminded that the soldier who raped her and killed her family was court martialed and is now serving life prison. We, on the other hand, are yet to apprehend Malal's attackers.
I agree with Galloway. But i also think some people in Pakistan are using West's hypocrisy to justify the actions of Taliban and to discredit Malala and her message for girl's education.
Except JI and its supporters nobody wants to justify TTP actions in Pakistan ... And Orya is an honest man among our sold journalists ... He was not discouraging girl's education ... But he was saying right that girls are getting proper education in entire Pakistan including KPK ... What has Malala done just writing a blog about Swat situation...???? Even people of Swat consider to father of Malala as tout of West ..........
Do you really believe that girls are getting "proper" education in Pakistan.? And yes, what Malala did was to just write a blog, but she was SHOT for doing that by the Taliban. Her attackers are still at large. Whats worse is that most political parties of Pakistan (not only Jamaat) want to "talk" to the very Taliban who shot her. All this does not bother you, but when Malala gets nominated for peace prize, it outrages you. The irony is unmistakable.
