OPPO plans US$216m industrial park in India

Sometimes even higher price doesn't guarantee the quality as I have personally faced in Lenovo smartphone but that doesn't mean my Lenovo laptop is not best out there. Just letting you know that.

Higher price can also be deceiving.
Of course, high price not means high quality, how couldn't I know that? I don't like talking about quality, it is very wide and relative term.

Indians had time to build their own smart phones, but they got lost on this. Instead they started importing Chinese ones with their own OEM brand. This did not cut the mustard. Vacuum is created, and Chinese companies are pouring in.

China is slowly making inroads into India, Swadeshi block notwithstanding.

Chinese fdi investment in indian companies r rising :china:

Nice chart, thanks! Yes FDI from China is increasing, and if you look closer, these are private enterprises (POE). From a macroscopic financial POV, China is actively seeking outbound FDI opportunities everywhere in the globe, I hope China and India can reach some kind of G2G agreement so that Chinese SOE, especially those sovereign wealth funds (SWF), will also go India.

Yes we talked about that right? The private sector in China and India are rational, they will do business together, and business is all about win-win for people. Here is good case, OPPO wins new market, jobs created in India, public sector gets new tax stream, know-how and experience shared, consumers get value for money. Yes my friend, I believe more will happen.

Let's more this opens the way for Chinese ODA in India

Good to know, yep I've heard similar about Redme, I uses VIVO instead, going after its Hi-Fi feature. Seems like Xiaomi is doing fine in India, just saw an interview with Xiaomi chief Manu Kumar Jain on Rediff, interesting read.

Bad move. Modi will confiscate the factory right after the Chinese build it. That's what Indians already did to pharma companies. It shows Oppo is a badly managed company.
