I do admire him, and his father, Haider Ali, for their fights against the British and their implementation of iron-cased rockets, first ever use of such weaponry in warfare.

Inspite of the many severe drawbacks of Tipu, for me personally he was the most right thinking military general in the subcontinent in the British era till Sub has Chandra Bose came on the scene

Tipu made a link up with American revolutiinaries and if I am not mistaken send some metal ship building parts to the Americans

Don't know about that...but I wouldn't put it past him.

you guys should have gotten around 1.4 million squarre kilomtres of subcontinent...If I am not mistaken you guys got 1.05 million square kilometres...this is because India houses 14.23 percent Muslims ...So Partition was fine..if anything we could have done with an extra 20 to 50,000 square kilomtres though

Neither the land was fairly divided nor the finances. But its okay. We name our kids Sabir and Shakir for a reason.
