Just look at the afghan insurgency. As long as the Ukrainians can successfully grind down the Russians using the Afghan model of Weapons supply and grit determination the Russians will feel pain and withdraw, Putin would have to relinquish control and whatever Communism that was left in Russia would become extinct and Russia will join the EU as a toothless giant.
