Opinion Piece: The constant and never ending begging of the Afghan elite and intelligentsia

Over the past few days, I have been watching the news regarding the Afghan situation and have been taken aback by the response from the Afghan elite and intelligentsia in both Afghanistan and around the world. They all follow the same pattern:

(1) Describe how bad and dire the situation in Afghanistan is
(2) Blame Pakistan
(3) Start crying and telling the americans and nato to not leave and begging them to come back
(4) If all else fails, tell the West to accept all afghans in to their countries

Between 2001 and 2021, the West invested in over $1 trillion in Afghanistan. That is more than ALL the foreign investment Pakistan has EVER received since August the 14th 1947 by many times over. Afghanistan could have become as developed as Turkey, Italy, Spain or Portugal. Instead they have become poorer than Somalia.

What is most shocking is that the afghan elite DO NOT want to look after their nation, progress or develop. They just want everyone else to give them unlimited money and resources forever. They have NO concept of hard work or nation building. When things don't go their way, they start blaming Pakistan for all their failures. In all seriousness, afghans minds have not developed or matured yet. They all seem to be like children between the ages of 5-10. WHAT is the cause and reason for this? Could you please give your thoughts

PS Did anyone see that interview on the french news channel between the Afghan woman with dyed blonde hair and the former nato official? The way she started crying and begging the guy for the West to go back to Afghanistan was the MOST cringeworthy thing I have EVER seen on TV. The sounds she was making were pathetic.

Bro, I am old enough to remember the 1980s and when Ethiopia lost 20% of it's population due to famine. EVEN their leaders and intelligentsia were not begging on live TV. It's an Afghan trait.
