i hope no on hates anyone. thats barbaric and tribal i think we can be past that by now. its ok to hate governments but not whole countries. ii dislike the ccp but love the Chinese kids at my gym. i pray that no one on this forum sits around stewing in there hate for any one based on race or birth land. remember its the governments that rule were just like MCG drops in an ocean.

Your thoughts are admirable, however the actions of a government also benefits its people against those that are deprived due to the same actions. So it is natural that the beneficiaries will also be viewed with the same perspective as that of the agressor government. In China currently for example, if the communist party is systematically settling Hans in Xinxiang, it is only natural that the Uighurs will also identify these migrants as a a form of their deprivation and persecution. So by the end, it does get personal however much we may wish it does not. That is the unfortunate part. In retribution, human beings are not so philosphical!

Japan ruled over only Manchuria and Taiwan, on the mainland besides Manchuria they will occupiers fighting a non-stop Chinese resistance.

Britain on the other hand ruled over India (for 200+ years). Indians behaved so obediently to the British domination of their country, which is why the Brits today hold no grudges towards Indians and are quite favorable of India and Indians are also very favorable of Britain for ruling them better than they can rule themselves, but if Indians actually resisted against the British invaders then India too would be hated by them.

No use denying the past. The knowledge of it makes one stronger.

So how is China liked in Vietnam? I would love to see some research on opinion of China in Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Phillipinnes etc. That will be interesting to gauge the peaceful rise.

i know a lot of Chinese brothers are concerned of such topic. but my suggestion is to take it easy. behave like a big country. look back in the history, you have gene to be a super power.
I don't think the whole world loves U.S, but check the U.S people, they're ok.

this is what chinese people have to experience when the nation is growing, especially the countries around are not used to it. some nations get nervous, some scared like Japan. so when you're strong finally and send 5 carriers out of there, people will get used to it and feel fine.

Just because a country is big doesn't mean they can't fall, it only means they fall harder. India for example, a country about the same size as China fell to a force of 3000 British invaders, while there were over 3,000,000 Japanese soldiers in China fighting.

BCz of China's fallen, so we have to fight with Japan. France was not so bad during occupation time, they even joined Laos-Cam in Vietnam to create Indochina, and protected our islands in SCS(East sea) quiet well also.

All countries made sacrifices during the Japanese invasion, not just China.

Asian countries must be united together so something like that can never happen again.
