Opinion: China needs to export the software ecosystem that has been so successful inside China to the rest of the world

The conspiracy theory that Linux is funded by the Europeans elites who are fully aware that Windows OS is a CIA malware.

Linux is developed to 99% and the last 1% especially the GUI is deliberately under developed, to create a barrier for normal users, so as not to anger US.

Whether it gets banned in the US or not is not really an issue, the issue is that the entire world (except China) is addicted and dependent on the American software ecosystem to the point where whenever the US says a Chinese company (eg: Huawei or any other company) can't use American software their sales outside China plummets.

It's not just the OS but it is the combination of all these softwares (youtube, maps, facebook, twitter etc.. plus the OS) that China needs to compete with the US on a global scale, so that even if the US bannes the use of Chinese software in the US, other countries (eg: the MENA region, Latin America, Africa, Asia) would still be using Chinese products (in this case smartphones, tablets etc..) because they would be used to using Chinese software.

What prevents Chinese software from competing with the likes of twitter, youtube etc on a global scale is not lack of technology, after all apps like Bilibili, wechat etc.. already exist, they would just need some modification so that they are suitable for outside China.
However personally I believe it is mainly due to lack of cordination between the Chinese governmnet and the Chinese companies, Beijing needs to direct and tell its companies to start helping each other and coordinate to expand.

@ OP. Lol what for? My dad has a Huawei P30 Pro for a few years now. He's switching to prepaid instead of monthly subscription fee. Know what he used to use the phone for? Order pizza and Chinese takeout.

Where USA will be fooked will be in the software ecosystems that ppl use to actually do useful work (dekstops, laptops, and to a lesser extend tablets). It's already happening. Becoz of Unity OS (aka Deepin Linux) Microsoft is already fooked. When Harmony OS arrives on desktops, laptops, and workhorse tablets, Microsoft (and co) will be doubly fooked.

Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office are two products that are extremely difficult to fook. Even Apple couldn't do anything despite the popularity of their iphones, ipads and macbooks.
