Operation Swift Retort by Alan Warnes

.

This is one of the most tragic and pathetic scenes I have ever seen. She's clearly reading from a script fed to her, and she's too stupid to even remember it, having to pause and think about what she's been ordered to say, clearly she's no Bollywood actor. I like the fact the interview said Abi "probably" fired his missile. So sad and pathetic.

99% of Indians were jumping like monkeys here in Dubai and India when you hit "terrorist" camps killing 300+ terrorists?.. you want me spam the thread of all the hate and war mongering to remind you?....

Only when PAF hit back did we see u turn in your attitude....
Oh man, I won't forget that day (26th of Feb.) and how I got grilled by every Indian whom I encountered. The SuperMarket - The Gas Station - At Work.

It was only when Op. Swift Retort happen... I swear, I couldn't find a single shop on my way home from DxB to SHJ where I could get Mithai.

Someone outta start a Topic: Where were you when Op. Swift Retort Happened?

Simple at first we were told the C-130 crashed during a low level ingress on a practice mission. Post investigation we find out the crash occurred due to wake turbulence. So clearly pilot error, pilot training was the root cause of the accident.

On the contrary, the IAF was forced defensive. The PAF achieved complete air superiority on Feb 27. When you contrast the difference in resources and funding on either side the IAF performance is cause for deep embarrassment.

Surprise? The IAF attacked Pakistan the previous day!! If the PAF response surprised the IAF then the IAF deserves to be disbanded. The IAF can see deep inside Pakistan (Swordfish+ AWACS + Aerostat) so how was Pakistan allowed to out number the IAF? Laughable really!

Because I know how SPICE works, the over pressure would have blown the roof off the building. The IAF lied - crows died.

Because we never show our hand, not even to our NATO allies.

He would have laughed as hard if you asked him if the Red Barron was the better pilot. Never believe anything you hear from a fighter pilot - they are pathological embellishers.
Delivered as promised :D:D:D:lol::lol:

@jk007
You're about to get a barrage of replies pretty soon.
@dbc , Hope you don’t mind, it’s a joke:pop:

a) Did PAF really do something very unusually skillful on that day? Or is it more a case of first come and ready with great numerical advantage? Remember IAF is in reactive mode not pro-active mode.

Air-combat is an incredibly complex affair... to put it simply PAF had to overcome IAF GCI defences, standing patrols, AWACS, and the knowledge we were going to hit them. like I said very airforces could pull this off. PAF planning and tactics were excellent not one PAF plane scratched.

c) In the next skirmish, if roles of IAF & PAF are reversed (i.e. IAF gets numerical advantage) then what?

The same result.

PAF would still intercept the formation, there is plenty of evidence in 1965 airwar PAF didnt back down... even in 1971 in the eastern some of the most spectacular dogfights took place despite PAF outnumbered by incredible ratio.

unless you improve your training and tactics.

In air-warfare, overwhelming numerical superiority on that day gives overwhelming advantage?

that is a theoretical argument. it doesn't apply in the real world. India lost 2 planes and it backed down...

besides it doesnt work against PAF pilots...

they way an indian pilot is trained if outnumbered they turn tail or disengage

PAF pilots on the other hand, if they see themselves as being outnumbered they look it as a target rich environment to become aces...they are trained to be hunters.

great input through your last paragraph.. sums up how pilots are made in PAF, they are lions, they roar, the pounce at hyenas even when outnumbered

b) If PAF did really do something unusual, is it repeatable next time?

Unusal ?.. no

they applied sound principles.

> RUSE : You expected not for PAF to attack by day that too at 9am ... PAF knew IAF would think that and so it did what you didnt expect.

btw this isnt new... in 1965 war PAF would send 2 planes at mid altitude, they would be picked by indian radar .. and surely indian would send 2 or 4 planes for an "easy" kill... when they arrived it turned they were 8 flying below the radar range... and a one sided ambush happened...

can we repeat this?... if IAF didn't learn it's lesson... sure we can do this all day... but assuming you did learn this,,, PAF will simply switch tactics again...they are smart, talented and constantly thinking,

) If you are the commander in command for IAF on feb-27 and surprised (credit to PAF for surprise), what would you have done any different

Not a military guy but i would be deeply disappointed on poor showing. getting out of sky is not a shame.... the shame was not willing to turn into a fight and running away.

if there is equal moral reason and motivation, war is a essentially wastage of resources between sides. Whichever side has more resources to throw / waste will inevitably win. No organization / air-force can be forever inefficient.

Please lecture your leaders.. PM IK made this point clearly just before the attack.

I know for sure that this is not true.

you clearly dont know indians.

I can't *imagine* this can be True.

they said this on national TV.... infront of the entire diplomatic corps...

here.. watch it your self.

DBC - Please respond with your personal opinion on Feb-27 skirmish. I am really interested in the following:
a) Did PAF really do something very unusually skillful on that day? Or is it more a case of first come and ready with great numerical advantage? Remember IAF is in reactive mode not pro-active mode.
b) If PAF did really do something unusual, is it repeatable next time?

d) In air-warfare, overwhelming numerical superiority on that day gives overwhelming advantage?
e) If you are the commander in command for IAF on feb-27 and surprised (credit to PAF for surprise), what would you have done any different?

Please help me understand.

Lolz .. are u high or something ? IAF attacked us and informed them earlier that we are coming. Initiative was on part of IAF the had they advantage. They knew we were coming.

Despite kniwing that they are doing something that is equivallent to war if they were not ready to take on 24 PAF planes despite having atleast 400 plus 4th generation fighters then there are only 2 explanations ..

Either IAF is highly incompetent or PAF is highly capable. It wasnt a surprise at all. We informed a day earlier to the world that we are coming

Guys,
I am pretty sure, these guys @jk007 @Jaskier who are dishing away all the scenarios presented to them are just trolling..these guys do not have in-depth knowledge or intellectual capacity to properly discuss or prove there point.

if you ask them the critical question regarding IAF OrBat and information on IAF side as it played out. they do not have the answer. they have already made up there mind so why waste band width..

ignore them!

I agree that I do not have lot of knowledge on air-warfare.......I posted my questions to get them clarified......I am eagerly waiting for someone to answer from neutral (not biased) perspective......Actually, if knowledgeable members write their non-biased analysis in a blog or something, it will save a lot of time for all of us...
