This is certainly not Bangladesh. Do not make any mistake, they are getting help from the same source from where other big insurgent groups like Shan, Kachin, Wa, Karen are getting support.

AA certainly gets some help from BD as much as ULFA used to get. They also have good support base within our Rakhine community and some were arrested earlier and certainly released. There are bunch of AA bases in BD territory and are open secret in the hilly areas.
Their operational capability and deployment pattern after 2017 do suggest that they are already under BDs good offices.

I would rather believe in our official govt. position that these armed group fighting with burmese troops has nothing to do with Bangladesh. Bangladesh do not believe in letting it's soil to get used by any armed group detrimental to any other country.

ignoring the trolling of the usual butthurt suspects, this is actually a big deal. Already NSCN and the like has been kicked out of india and forced to hide in Myanmar. The fact myanmar is cooperating with india to help destroy NSCN millitants in addition to the arakan army shows how important india and myanmar consider their relations with each other. Not to mention, the first such operation to occur this year actually happened right after pulwama in feb. right before balakot and resulted in succesful surgical strikes conducted against Arakan Army and similar millitants operating in india. Remember the first surgical strike was against nscn militants in myanmar. The same thing is repeating only with myanmar's support, because they know the efficacy of the indian army in such operations.

It is not direct weapons help, but the fleeing AA troops have sanctuary inside BD land in the border where the MM military is unable to take action. In a warlike situation sanctuary itself is a great help. I have no idea about the source of their weapons but it is clear that AA troops have become stronger and active a few months after the Rohingya expulsion to Bangladesh. Could there be any link between these two events?

By the way, what these two groups of spineless troops from India and MM can do to a resistance force. Harming unarmed people and fighting troops with weapons in hands is two different things. It is possible that Bandhudesh India's fleeing troops may also seek refuge in BD land.

Two possibility, one they may not be getting direct help, but other insurgent group who gets help from Chinese sources are helping them. Two, to oust the competitor aka India. Loyal insurgent groups are usually very careful to not to harm it's benefactor and benefactor know this.So not much problem.

There is also a possibility that, they are getting help from some Islamist terrorist organization.

China might be the invisible hand. Myanmar has lot of natural resources and full access to bay of Bengal. China will not like if Myanmar can balance of influence with India. More unstable and helpless Myanmar is more they will be dependent on China.
