Open violation of code of conduct in NA-246

Look close who have posted it.
Journalists make mistakes. They're the same journalists who, for example, posted the child's shoe with blood on it as if it was from Peshawar, when it was actually from Gaza/Israel.

I'll show you who actually posted it - some guy on Siasat.pk back in 2013:

Its not photo shoped.
Yes it is. For God's sake, he's holding an M4 behind his back with three fingers on the magazine while the rest of it is magically sticking to his back and the strap is hanging as if its glued to both the guy's kameez and the gun.

The ones in the top two pictures are replicas or local versions of Western carbines/SMGs , you'll find plenty of those in Pakistan - usually semi-auto.

The first one (first pic, to the left) is probably a simple rifle (.223 or 'triple 2') modified with some modern attachments and a retractable stock. The interesting part about it is what looks like an EoTech Holo sight, I haven't seen that being used by civilians before.

The second one (first pic, to the right) and the one in the second pic are clearly local SMGs, 9mm or 'tees bore'.

The last one is almost definitely a 'triple 2', which is basically a semi-auto AK that uses a smaller round than the usual 7.62.

All of them can be legally owned in Pakistan.

The "triple 2" as they call it is AK-74 with 5.45mm calibre (which turns out to be close to 0.222 inch hence the local name of triple 2). AK-74 is/was a restricted calibre which needed special license, but people found a loophole and used it and registered it as a different but very similar non-prohibited calibre.

The one on left in first pic is not an AK-74. It could \just be another one of those cheap local made .22 or 9mm semi-auto "SMG"s...Same with the other gun in the same pic.

The last one may not necessarily be AK-74...Could be a 7.62 as well...It's not that easy to tell. The shape of the magazine usually gives it away (the more curvy 7.62 magazine due to the cartridge being wider at the bottom and the more straight magazine for 5.45mm which has a "straighter" cartridge).

I have not seen those weapons commonly used by security guards. There are now plenty security guards to whom we have to deal with everyday but didn't saw them carrying those.
I have, and they are legal as per the Pakistan Arms Ordnance 1965 and all subsequent amendments.

Notice how their bores or calibers don't come under any of the prohibited groups, neither cannon nor are they above 46 inches.
Now, it just depends whether the security company licensed them or not.

It isn't exactly an AK74 - those are really expensive if you were to buy an original Russian made and that one is actually prohibited. These are replicas, locally made or chinese (most probably local).

I thought the same at first, but the mag feels too thick to be pistol caliber. I remember seeing a similar weapon in a gun shop, it looked similar to the one in the picture from far but up close it was just a typical 222, painted black and with rail attachments and a different stock. Turns out this modification is pretty common and the gun sells for a lot higher prices with all that - even though the attachments are usually very low-quality.

Yes, It could be any AK variant but most commonly they're 'triple2'. Also, the handguard looks different from the usual 7.62 (Type 56s etc). Or maybe its lower part is just covered by the guy's clothes. Either way, AK variant, most likely legal.

If I'm not wrong, special prohibited bore licenses are also issued in small numbers (using contacts offcourse) and often times people with good political contacts get their private security guards such prohibited bore weapons. I've seen even G3s in use by some security guards...So most likely everything they have is legal. And money is never really a problem for people doing politics, it's already an expensive business. At the very most a russian made AK-74 could cost 3-4lacs I suppose. That's not too expensive.

And those poor guys with those "SMGs" are probably better off with a decent imported 9mms or even a TT...these local or china made smgs are crap from what I've heard...

These guards don't really have anything impressive....not nearly as impressive as stuff PPP, PML-N people etc carry around...

.
and they say PTI doesn't have Guns
never said it. everyone have guns at home for protection. but do they go around killing people .

Those considering themselves Pakistanis should vote #PTI and those who are still Mohajir should elect their candidate. Simple.

Yeah, you've heard right. I knew a guard who was given such an SMG by his employers - its magazine lock was loosely fitted, the mag would fall out if he fired one shot. They're that bad.

A decent TT for about 8-9k is much more reliable.

Agreed. Except for the Holo Sight, that one is impressive if it's not just some fake attachment from a ''sharlay waali pistaul''. But even if it was real, it's pointless to have it on a gun like that, in that situation.

what i love is that all the rest of the parties have guns and security why cant pti have it. from what i see pti is getting bullied under a microscope.
