Open letter to PTI chairperson Imran Khan by Dr Niaz Ahmad

PTI might get some seats in KP due to the disillusionment of the KP population (Settled Areas) with ANP and with the previous stalwarts due to his "Niazi" past. But as very rightly pointed out by Santro the lack of faces that have an appeal in Pujab and Sindh will not do the many good there.

The moment of truth will come somewhere around the middle of next year when the lines will start being drawn.

Thank you "Leader" for the "Lesson" -- the fact remains. And btw if you want to convert people to your views -- kindly do not start by insulting them personally "Get your brain to start working again." I am sure in your endeavours to garner support for your leader you have not forgotten the basic lesson given to you by your parents -- respect others, regardless!!!!

In Pak, we only follow personalities, ideas are so diverse, that even the vice president of Nawaz league( ) is having independent views, Amin Faheem considers Zardari outsider to PPPP. and Altaf says "mere bad tum log kuto ki tarhan laro gay"

yes, that is what his party is working on, to find honest men with no bad record, if he doesnot find any, thats not his party's fault...

Amazing you people talk too much and criticize all the time like pony girls, lets forget IK and PTI, Again I ask what is the positives and Vision of other political parties who have fullfilled and are those potential men who can fix Pakistan. 3 political parties came into power 3/4 parties came as coalition partners since 1971 256 Billion Rupees were waived and the blame goes to these political parties and their coalition parties PPP, PML-N, PML-Q, jamat islami/MMA, ANP, MQM and all of them have their loans waived and they defaulted. And yes certain people in Army/Navy/Air Force did get concessions and waived their loans.

No they have no right to come back in power after putting Pakistan into Huge Debt. So what is left is what we've to try you and your babbling can't solve problems either you think you people are smart reality is some of you are pea brainers arm chair generals.

PTI seems to be making a mistake in its political maneuvering. Sit-downs a good way of pressurinzing the government and to spread awareness, but it does not get PTI much votes. PTI has popularity among the educated class but this class is heavily outnumbered. The largest vote bank comes from Punjab and PTI has sadly not done enough to gather support.

MQM's land reform bill may never get passed, but you can be sure MQM is going to use that to gain votes from the poor.
PPP will use the Income Support Fund even though it comes from taxpayer's money and not their own.
PML-N will merely have to reiterate the government's failure to gain massive zindabad chants.

As for the open letter and the suggestions, I still say they may not be accepted by PTI. If you see Aeronaut's post about PTI Team, you will see that it has traditional bankers for commerce and finance. They are unlikely to accept the system proposed in the article.

What is one thing which is seriously crippling Pakistan from growing economically ? Anyone with even an iota of knowledge about the country would say Terrorism. What breeds terrorism we might ask then? Again anyone who knows even a little bit about Pakistan would say ignorance and lack of knowledge. The two things that PTI wants to handle on a war-footing after coming into power is Terrorism and Education. You get rid of the terrorism and the economic conditions will start to improve which in turn will benefit the Aam Admi on the street, to which some people say that PTI does not connect and understand. Tackle the illiteracy and the constant growth of future militants will come to a halt saving us from become a Somalia like state. PTI's third point that they want to handle immediately after coming into power is corruption. We all agree that corruption and dishonesty is eating our society up from the inside and is a plague that needs to be put to rest at all cost. Consequently Transparent Accountability is the third problem that PTI wants to handle on an urgent basis.

Now I sincerely do not see how all of the above mentioned three points are not relevant and would not help the local man. What PTI does not do is play to the gallery, it does not say stuff just for public consumption or to grab votes. On one hand, we are tired of this circus of a political system that we have right now and OTOH we want PTI to play by the same rules and start inducting popular faces in their ranks, and start grabbing votes in the name of Baradari,Firqa and Bandooq. Lets for once, put our bets on purpose rather than personalities.

I hope I have been able to clear a few points without coming across as rude or a personality worshiper.

I am also apprehensive about his dealings with JI - which I believe is one the most two faced political (Yes, political) party in the country along with JUI-F. That is an uncomfortable feeling -- I do not want to move from one vision less leader to another, or replace the current setup with closeted Taliban’s. The people of Pakistan deserve to know his actual views on the Pan Islamism and Talibans (The TTP kind) and than decide if they want him in power or not. This is where, I think, IK is not commnig clean.

We do not need more doses of religion -- as it is, we have overkill in that area.

i ain't supporter/voter of PTI but after having watched his interviews, i think his vision is very clear i.e we are fighting America's war on terror and groups like TTP are result of americanised policies of Pak ruling elite.
