Consumer electronics is the next big thing coming along. Big factories are getting set up and they almost covered domestic market and started exporting.

Yes these words come up a lot, but when we see the actual figures, a lot is left to be desired....and explains why your consumption per capita in PPP is a meagre 3200 USD.

It is obvious to everyone that looks at Bangladesh that it is dominated by one industry and will remain so for quite some time.

Otherwise show me production value of one other good/industry in same levels as garments.

The main point is - The growth of GDP of Myanmar is less then Bangladesh , And in the purpose of GDP method WAr happen.

Did you even look at the links? The GDP growth rate is higher in Myanmar.

Seriously, talking to you is like....:hitwall:

.
Myanmar,a country three times poor than Bangladesh is dreaming of invading Chittagong. The GDP of Chittagong alone is almost equal to the whole Myanmar.

MM growth rate is not sustainable. It will take some time before making actual judgement about their economy. A lot of people were betting on their natural resources which I dont think as much as it buzzed from outside. Commodity based growth probably a thing of the past.

OK now you have retreated further into la-la land. Making all sorts of assertions with no links. Waste of time continuing this conversation.

Look at multidimensional poverty index which takes into account consumer electronics as well, not some price of beer or a piece of loaf which we dont consume.

.
But it is suitable. General.

This is why i hate indians.

Just know how to escape.

Poverty indexes dont work like that stupid.

I am asking you lets see how much steel, electricity, cars, clothing, energy, computers, electronics etc .etc (everything outside of RMG) are produced and/or consumed per capita in Bangladesh. Show me the numbers.

Sorry when you say things like:

And in the purpose of GDP method WAr happen.

Either you are using google translate or your english is worse than a 5 year old. So there is little point trying to converse.

Maybe write it in Bengali and get one of the members to translate.

Ur English is bad. This is an old method for indians. As far as i concern in whole world Indians are using worst English . BA ba ba. Can;t say properly. Like chines never brashed their tooth.

Poverty index already covered it stupid. Go and find how many tv or fridge per house hold uses in that index. Then do some math and you will know the miracle.

Which study are you even talking about?

Provide the link.

.
They dn't know without the link. Just media watcher .

. .

Thats not a multi-dimensional poverty report that you were talking about earlier.

This report talks about small consumer goods (and the high growth makes sense given Bangladesh low per capita base like India's was in the 90s)...It doesnt include industrial items like we were talking (Appliances, TVs, Cars, Steel, Cement, Energy)...and I want actual production/consumption per capita....not growth rate. If you are producing 1 car a year and next year you produce 2....means you got a 100% growth rate....but does it matter really?
