I don't understand your dislike for Gandhi. He kinda agreed to partition at the end, although he had disagreements with Jinnah. He even went on strike when India refused to pay Pakistan repatriation. He was instrumental in stopping the communal violence too.

That indeed Gandhi did. He was one leader who played his role in stopping communal riots against Muslims of India and also to pay Pakistani Shares in British assets.
There are exceptions in Hindus, it is the traits of Hindutva and RSS philosophy which is intensifying every day, even in 21st centuray this mentality flourishing and there are no voices from indian society. Muslims have been marginalized more than any other minority, a national obsessive hate against Pakistan. All is too abnormal.
