Only Indian troops withdrawing, Chinese troops continue to patrol area

Not only patrol but China will Garrison the area.
This is big news favoring China against which India has commented nothing.
It means it was a part of the deal.

So India was virtually checkmated by the Chinese.
Lol at meek Indian Modi, a tomfoolery expert with 56" ***

Indeed, the official Chinese spokesperson said that China would maintain patrols and garrisons in Donglang.

Basically China now controls Donglang, the Indians have withdrawn completely, despite promising to protect Bhutan's territory, and despite being bound by a mutual defence treaty to do so.

As long as the road construction equipment leaves and stays gone, you can maintain any patrol presence you want. That after all is the status quo that was in place (given this land is in dispute between Bhutan and China, i.e agree to disagree and send patrols now and then) before China decided to upset it with attempted road construction.

Sat geo-verification of withdrawal by China of this equipment and personnel will be incoming over the coming weeks. Same goes for this claim of "garrisons" to be maintained there. You don't "control" squat....its back to status quo....and the full finger is dominated on all sides by India (its how we will physically monitor that the status quo is back along with satellite pictures). That's all India was asking for and what we got. Now go ahead and work on resolving this dispute bilaterally with Bhutan before you attempt a status quo change next time.

The end result is that China will never construct a road here, and investing into a 2 month+ drama and chest thumping was insufficient to force its way on the issue. Send a few patrols if you want, that was part of status quo inherited anyway.

.
Yeah I am in denial about bharat mata beintg a supa puwa after it unilaterally retreated.

:lol::

I don't need to add anything here.

Not in my any wet dream. In tweets that I shared above.

They can bring in equipment anytime. You have retreated. Bhutanis are nowhere at Doklam. And they control it completely.

You retreated without any concession from China. No assurance on road construction. No nothing.
As for the Indian establishment, a known enemy is better than un unknown friend!!! Or, a Dana-dar Dushman is better than a Na-Dan Dost!!! Especially after Trump speech on Afganistan!!!!

Now road to Bhutan, paved with 10$b, is wide open!!! Are Indian folks like Paks to die for Bhutan???

.
Indians are dancing on only one word, that has become a key word for them, and that is "road". They have to have something to latch on to, to save some embarrassment.

Actually this "Road" thingy is no issue at all. Had it been, you would be hearing it from PMO roof top, by none other than PM Modi - The best bragger. But you see this chest thumping, show-off PM is silent. Totally silent.

Why?
Because as PM, he knows better than these dime a dozen moron PDF Modians, that there is nothing as "road" issue, since the construction window is expiring in September, and the time is up for China to not engage in road making on their own NOW. It is NOT possible humanly & physically under such a hostile weather. Hence its non issue now.

Let the military expert explain:

Military experts, however, pointed out that the timing could also have been dictated by weather conditions. At those heights, the only window for construction activities is only open from June to September.

On the road issue:

See you next June 2018 - China to Modi.

Simply put its the end of road for china in bhutan. :P
Its bulldozing way dint work, now India needs to be on alert for any sneaking/creeping occupation by the bully.

China said India had pulled its troops from the Chinese side of a disputed Himalayan border area on Monday afternoon, after a months-long stand-off.

Earlier in the day, India’s foreign ministry said it had agreed with China to an “expeditious disengagement” of troops from the Doklam plateau, an area close to the borders of China, India and Bhutan.

The announcements come ahead of a meeting in China this weekend of BRICS countries, a bloc comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The Chinese foreign ministry said Indian military personnel had pulled out of the Chinese side by 2.30pm on Monday.

“I am pleased to confirm that trespassing Indian personnel have all pulled back to the Indian side of the boundary,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.

“Chinese troops continue to patrol on the Chinese side of the boundary.”

The ministry said China would continue to “exercise its sovereign rights and defend territorial sovereignty in accordance with the historical demarcation agreement”.

Indian media reports said both Indian and Chinese troops were slowly being withdrawn from the disputed zone.

Chinese navy’s live-fire drill may be warning shot to India amid ongoing Doklam stand-off

India’s NDTV reported that soldiers from both sides had started pulling out, but the process of removing them would not be completed on Monday.

The move comes a week ahead of a BRICS summit in Xiamen, Fujian province, where Chinese President Xi Jinping will play host to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of three other major emerging economies.

The Chinese foreign ministry said that at the peak of the crisis, up to 400 Indian soldiers and two bulldozers were engaged in the confrontation.

Dr Rajeev Ranjan Chaturvedy, a research associate at the Institute of South Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore, said officials from both sides had worked hard to defuse the tensions.

“The diplomatic channels were open throughout,” Chaturvedy said. “Withdrawing troops will ease some tension and will provide room for both leaders at the BRICS [summit].”

Waiting for the Indian members to spin this into a victory for Modi. :P

According to the official Chinese spokesperson, Indian troops have withdrawn, Chinese troops continue to patrol. China maintains all rights over the area, including for building infrastructure.

P.S. Here is a third party source (Washington Post) that says the same thing:

Washington Post - India withdraws troops from disputed Himalayan region, defusing tension with China
The level of indoctrination of Chinese population is appalling. China wanted to spin the message as such that the locals feels they won. Why will India patrol where it's not it's land? Indians demand was stop construction of road and withdraw. It's been met.

.
Everything mention above by you totally in the hand of China whether to support India in the matter of India national interest.
Seeing how Indians are first hand, does China want a strong India to contend with in the future? Imagine if India had Chinese military capabilities, they would have started a two front war.

After searching in YouTube...indeed it's true that Indian people come to Tibet for pilgrimage, I hope Indian people will not claim it's Hindu sacred territory, with such pure water I bet Hindu people like this place more than Ganges , we China have more leverage over India now :D

I say banthem from coming in. They will pollute the water

And how this is supposed to be a victory for India? China didn't confirm nor deny that road construction is over, we leave Indian room for interpretation but the fact is Indian soliders are no longer in Donglang...and you claim that objectives been met.

Both sides agreed to give some ground in order to end the standoff. In a short statement, the Indian government said it had reached an “understanding” with Beijing and had agreed to an “expeditious disengagement” along the border, pulling back troops who had been sent to the disputed area to block the Chinese from building a new road.

China seemed willing to compromise as well, still claiming the disputed territory, but making no mention in its statements on Monday that it was continuing to build the contentious road.

So, the Chinese started off with the objective : "They will build a road"

& now at the end their objective is "WILL NOT build the road" :p:

& both parties are back to what the positions were before this whole incident started.

Modi will churn India for funds for ever as long as he is the PM.
He needs money for defense. He does not have enough:

Recent last week's example:

So how is he managing then?
Well, he is fleecing his own citizen by charging higher gasoline price at the pump than the price in the US.

On petrol, on each dollar, 2/3 goes to Modi's government by way of Excise duty.
Ex refinery price is 24 rs. + Excise of 44 Rs. = 68 Rs. a liter of gasoline.
Crude price yesterday = 48.75 USD per barrel - Very lowest.
Ruling by fooling.

Not many people living in villages (70%) know this math, hence they vote for this nefarious candidate who is both treacherous & Machiavellian. Partner in crime with his Gujarati industrialists friends. He rules by nod & wink. 3+ years no public interview, only running behind the microphone (Man ki Baat) confined within 4 walls. Afraid to face spontaneous questions, those that might be embarrassing for him, running away from his own citizens. How shameful yet crafty.

. . . .
Chinese started building a road, in Bhutan. I know you already know that..... but anyways

Even Bhutan does not say its their territory.
Show me any such claim you liar.
