Only 11% want Democracy

democracy as a sub-ordinate is not an actually democracy.

never ever there has been a free hand thru out the history of pak. currently all departments are brought to the ground and none is allowed to function smoothly.

if all departments are hugging the ground then our democratic govt is responsible for it no one else.
do you have any idea of corruption?
how much electricity is added to national grid?why our industry is destroyed?why pia and railway are bankrupt?

you did not answer my whole post.

.
to be honest i dont know my self who will be the caliph.
but to establish khilafat there is lot of pre requisites.i shared the results of this poll in order to show that we are fed up with demon crazy.title of the thread.
please dont chose selective history.what was the situation of muslims when there was khilafat.we destroyed two super powers of that time romans and persians.why not you mention them.
ottomans always give a long stick to europe.this is the reason they still hate turks.

our enemies out maneuvered us.

this is a simple poll just like another.which shows the thinking trend of Pakistanis.nothing more than that.

Don't mind my being frank.

If one cannot resolve the violent difference of the various sects in Islam, thinking of a Khalifat is a very esoteric desire.

Let us not blame the enemy alone for being outmanoeuvred for the Caliphate to fail. If one wants something to succeed, one has to also see the reasons for failure without finding excuses. If 'enemies' can outmanoeuvre, then the foundations are not quite strong as one believes. Another issue is that it is natural for each man wanting to overpower the other and be the leader. This is what causes the rot!

Islam may have destroyed whatever you claim, but why delve in history?

Look at the present and see where one is and what has brought them to that state.

That will provide the answer.

Turks are not as good Muslims as any other Muslim?

.
see i give that particular statement under a very particular context.
Shias are only 15-20 % of population of Pakistan.and both mqm and ppp are secular parties and are shia dominated.so if you want to rule majority you can't use religious card here but SECULAR CARD to attract the masses.By the way Altaf bai is Shia him self.

its true that people participate in these type of poles are not more than 10-15k.but sir believe me come to punjab and kp and you will see how much people are into religion.
by the way to date i also did not participated in any poll.
a question?
when other polls happen you discuss the results of poll without making much noise what is unique in this poll?

the problem is that the jihadist want khilafat but they do not have any procedure that can appoint a khalifa. as no procedure is mentioned in Quran and sunnah.
and infact in Pakistan there are several groups in sunnis too who would like to have their khalifas
In such a situation how you can appoint a khalifa acceptable to all. this is really something ridiculous.

if a khalifa is forced upon then it will be a temporary thing for few months or less than a year as it will not work as today people are more involved in politics than they were in the past.

The other idea is that each group should have their own khalifa who recognizes the government institutions and interact with government and parliment on behalf of his followers. this somehow will be workable.

Other option is that khilafat should be rotational among various sects.

infact a real khilafat is not workable in a country like pakistan where muslim community is divided into sects and groups:

Barelvis : 40-45%
Shias : 25-30%
Deobandis : 20-25%
Wahabis : 10%

How can there be a Caliphate?

Will the Turks and the Arabs come to any understanding?

No Islamic nation has been able to solve Palestine because of oneupmanship or being sold to the US.

Can these nations ever agree that the other one become the Caliph and rule them?

Pakistan does not even come in the reckoning!

Saudi Arabia feel they are the legatee of the Prophet!

How can there be a Caliphate in one country?

It is all about the ummah and Pakistan does not represent the ummah!

 well said!

the concept of caliphate is a one ruler from God for the entire ummah.

most of our people do not have a clear concept of khilafat.

infact real Khilafat can only establish in Mecca and Medina which are centre of the muslim world and acceptable to all muslims.

An international company, MEMRB which offers custom analysis to address special issues, conducted nationwide survey in Pakistan. They asked question about ruling system in Pakistan. Question was “Which Ruling System can solve Pakistan’s Problems?”

Options were as follows

1. Democracy

2. Dominion

3. Islamic Khilafat

4. Martial Law

5. Any other

This survey had been made on 30 cities and 60 villages from all over Pakistan. All age group took part in this survey while different level of educated people also participated in survey. The result of survey was as follows.

1. Democracy (Only 11%) :lol::lol:

2. Dominion (Only 6%)

3. Khilafat (53%)

4. Martial Law (22%) :p:P

5. Islamic Democracy (Only 2%)

Majority of Pakistan’s want Pure Islamic system in Pakistan i.e.; Khilafah, while only 11% want democracy which is current ruling system in our state.

Some people claim that only well educated people want democracy and illiterate people know nothing about real worth of pure democracy. But this survey exposed there claim, more than 56% people who favored Khilafah, either they were under primary or above Graduate. People from big cities also want Khilafat. In Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad 40% people want martial law, 39% Khilafat while 15% democracy.

This is not a single survey which showed these type of stats but many other international survey companies found same results in past. US also warned Pakistan that fundamental Islamic sentiments are very high in Pakistan which is a potential threat for modern democratic world.

how much electricity is added to national grid?why our industry is destroyed?why pia and railway are bankrupt?

you did not answer my whole post.

can you tell why the electricity and gas pipeline from IRAN havn't been connected yet to the national grid? why it took years and still the process is so slow. the head of the project is removed by whom just a few month ago?

can you please tell who is looting the Hajis past several years? its nearly a 30 billion scandal each year but a minister is made a scapegoat for just few crore. what about past years corrutpion?

there is looting from each ministry by the jihadi establishment and hence the government cannot be blamed for everything?

it is not the responsibility of the president and PM to fill in the oxygen tanks of the pia planes and make them fly.
why an international flight of the brotherly neighbouring country was intentionally kept delayed for more than half a day. dude it is not the government's fault.

when the jihadi establishment would like things will improve. so there is no need to blame the government elected by the people.

this democractic government is given to you so that jihadi establishment can save its buts from the people in a tough period of time when separatists elements were getting stronger and now the things have improved a lot related to separatism.

democracy is only working as a sub-ordinate under the parallel jihadi establishment formed by zia.

here i am not advocating for sharia but some what in b/w demon crazy and shariat.
A middle path.
i support Imran khan for that.:cheers::cheers:
:pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

Imran Khan could only come through a democratic process not through caliphate. If you want him in power then make sure that you vote for him next time in elections which are not that far away. Pakistan never had democracy in true sense. Now that we have it in some sense, wait for the voters and the Govt to mature. I will call the present Govt a a transitional step towards real democracy. Next time i am sure the Govt will be much more powerful than now.

Pakistan had electinos in 1971, when Mujibur won. Yahya khan did not give him the reins as he was supposed to. which essentially means that punjabi muslims did not want to hand over power to bangali.

The Bangladesh Liberation war ignited after the 1970 Pakistani election, in which the East Pakistani Awami League won 167 of 169 seats in East Pakistan and secured a simple majority in the 313-seat lower house of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament of Pakistan). Awami League leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman presented the Six Points to the President of Pakistan and claimed the right to form the government. After the leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, refused to yield the premiership of Pakistan to Mujibur, President Yahya Khan called the military, dominated by West Pakistanis, to suppress dissent.

Please first go through history before commentating. Punjabi fault that Bhutto didn't give reins of the Govt to East Pakistan and involved military? Bhutto or Yayha were not Punjabis. It was our combined failure. They rightly deserved to form the Govt but our arrogant leadership didn't agree. Case closed. No need to respond further and drag this issue.

Khillafat has its own system and choosing the Khalifah is not big deal there is no concept of political parties in Islam and also that person cannot be selected as our Representative which himself ask to people to select him

no muslim is against khilafat. the problem is that khilafat is misunderstood by most muslims.

i have asked you a simple question as you are an advocate of khilafat.

what is the procedure for the apoointment of a khalifa? (as per you it is not a big deal)

democracy everyone knows has a procedure of elections. so anyone who is popular can come thru democracy.

the puzzle of khilafat needs to be resolved

let any ruler declare himself a caliph and watch what happens then.

anything that divides the nation is not good for the country.

.
Zarvan,

How was the Caliph selected?

Is there a consensus amongst the various sects of Islam on the issue?

Pakistan and the Islamic world is composed of Muslims of sects.

So, can there be a Caliphate (Khalifat)?
