Online Booking with PIA failed but Bank Card payment processed.

Assalam O Alaikoom, Hello, Hi,


I had a problem with online booking on PIA website : My payment sas processed but no ticket was issued.

I entered all details of taveler, NIC card number etc, dates of trip, etc and at one time i received a message that my session bout to expire : "cancel session" or "continue".

Of course a clicked on "continue". Until that no problem.

Then a reach the step where a I have to enter details of my bank card. I entered all details and then clicked on "ok" but, and here occurs the problem.

I have 2-steps verification for payment with my bank : I received a code by text message on my mobile which I entered on PIA website for confirming the payment.

And just at this moment i received a message "sorry session expired".

I don't know if the payment was processed or not. I did not received any transaction ID number nor ticket been issued.

Do you know if I have chance that (if the payment has been processed) PIA refund me ? And how to request it ?

We have a PIA office in Paris, i will try to contact them tomorrow. But knowing how they are professional... I have bad feeling. Very bad feeling.

ps : Yes I know it was stupid.

I doubt anyone on this forum is capable of helping. Perhaps you should contact your credit card company and PIA customer service. They also have a twitter account somewhere :).

You should be able to reverse the charge with your credit card company. I suggest you do this as soon as possible. Take a screenshot of the discrepancy and or any other evidence and forward it.

Do not rely on PIA to rectify this... they are either crooks, or incompetent, or just refuse to take personal responsibility.

Not with PIA alone. I faced similar problem twice with two different airlines. First one is when I booked myself for Jeddah by Saudia and other incident was when I made s booking for colombo with flydubai. Streightening up accounts on both occassion turned out to be tough calls.

I book flights on my phone all the time using a booking app. Never had any issues, I think true problem may stem from the merchant services provider.

In such cases, at least in the UK the card owner is always eligible for a full refund.

@Clutch, thanks, i will contact them but unfortunately their website is so weird and the only screenshot i was able to take was the one with the message about session expired no other information. However the time on my computer was captured in the screen and this the time i received my 2 steps verification code. So thank you for your advice.

The transaction would not have gone forward. Contact the helpline of the bank to get confirmation. Also, you usually get an SMS from the bank whenever you successfully complete a transaction using your credit card. If you haven't got that service yet, i suggest you activate it.

Some news : till today, payment was not effectively processed by PIA. :tup:

My bank told me that when an payment instruction is given, there nothing to stop the payment.
