Sister, are you sure you're not an agnostic? Even people that I know that science geeks still believe there's something mysterious behind this universe because of the fixed law this universe runs on.

I know I can't influence your beliefs and I don't want to do that, I just want to tell this universe wouldn't have a purpose if we God presented himself to us or of we saw any kind of proof. We Muslims if you look at scientific estimate of universes shape there is a hole near the end of one side we believe there is something else there and that God is not in our Universe. Just so you know to, we don't claim to know much about him, in fact in Islam he's very mysterious to us we don't know anything about him besides that he knows us and is observing us and is closer to us than we think.

I just want you to consider that all Abrahamic religions are on the same page when it comes to God and the mystery of God.

Converting to an Abrahamic religion will not, in my belief keep me grounded in my cultural roots.

I know that sounds close-minded, and I know that the Hindutvawaadis here will not accept it, I am a proud Indian and to me becoming a Christian, or a Muslim will take me out of the cultural roots as an Indian.

You are so wrong in your history. Europe was no where advanced, else Indian would have gone looking for West and not the other way around. What emotional arguments, can you point them out? You have yet to come up with a rational argument on anything on this forum.

West was responsible for killing in the millions. That does fit the definition of barbarism. You can worship at the altar of Wendy Doniger, do not expect others to do so.

I thought you were a girl the whole time, I thought Ravi was a female name, lol. My point is do less thinking, there is too much information and too many theories in this world you will never find one answer that will satisfy you. I recommend in your lifetime try practicing a variety of religions you find feasible and try seeing what works with your heart, not what can fit your culture or lifestyle. However also stick to aspects of your culture. I'm not offended btw.

Start with beliefs on God, don't worry about the content yet because obviously that's what's an obstacle for some people. Read what Abrahmic religous and mystical monism religions say about the source of life and God. I think this is where you would find what you want.

You pretty much described my teenage years here.

A core part of my identity is being an Atheist.

Took a lot to get here, but I am happy, because they years that I tried to find faith were trying times. When I slowly but surely 'rejected' so to speak the idea of a creator god I slowly began to be sure of who I was, and what I want to be perceived as.

And I always think, I read and I think. These two activities bring me happiness, and not about to ditch that.
