When it comes to free speech, which gives them the right to make fun of other religions or its religious figures, then discussing Holocaust also comes under free speech, as whole world speaks, talks and writes about other genocides in man's history, while when it comes to Holocaust, it gets a ban.
Not true. No one is stopping you from discussing or researching the holocaust, they're stopping you from glorifying a mad man.
Discussing the holocaust, and talking about the '
genius of Hitler' are two very different things. Also remember that ten's of millions of people were lost (Indians and Pakistanis too) in the second world war, the bloodiest to date, so under no circumstances can a person be allowed to get away openly supporting Nazis on a social networking site like facebook.
More like hate speech.
The author main aim was to show the double faced hypocrisy of the west and such organizations, who on one hand make fun of one side in the shroud of free speech, while when it comes to their own, they ban the same free speech as it will be exposing the truth, who knows.
I understand what he was trying to do (although its a little ironic of him to choose Hitler of all people) but the Holocaust and 2nd world war are taken pretty seriously in the west, you cannot expect the same sensitivity over a cartoon.
So if the feel pain with people talking about Holocaust, then they should know others also get the pain when they make fun of what is dear to the opposing side.
As humans, we should all 'feel the pain' when it comes to glorifying Hitler and the holocaust. Refer to the video below, and I'd like to make it clear to everyone that if you don't have blone hair and blue eyes, the people in the video would skin you alive if they could.
You cannot equate the two, I understand your religious sentiments but as I mentioned earlier, you cannot expect the same sensitivity over a few cartoons as you would over the 2nd world war and the holocaust. A 'cultural bias' at worst, but even that's stretching it. We're talking about religious sentiments over tens of millions of dead people, so there's simply no comparison whatsoever.
Also, please do post the videos you were talking about earlier. I found this video and a few others on youtube...
